Aww, I am so sorry, but at least she had care, love and attention, and given every chance possible, they aren't all that lucky. RIP little one.

I just got back from the vets and the nurse was covering reception. She told me that Hope had passed. I told her that I already heard. The sad thing is. The nurse said that she was so beautiful, she had decided to keep her if she pulled through even though she has 5 already. She told me the story of one of her cats (she said Hope was a spit of her as a kitten) who disappeared for a year. Went missing on Halloween and came home exactly a year later on halloween! - for a black cat, some people could read into that!.

Anyway, she said when they took hope in, she was very poorly but after kitten milk etc she seemed a lot better but suddenly went downhill today. She was upset about it.

Sorry Sharon,

I know that all that could be done, was. I know that she was at the vets but better than on a building site. The girls there are great. I know how the nurse was with Clapton and she obviously cares.

RIP poor little Hope xxx

It's a nice name

I won't be the one calling her in at night with the neighbours thinking I'm barking  :evillaugh:

Hope (no pun  :evillaugh: ) there is good news today.

I have to take Clapton & Willow to be Drontal'd at 5pm so I will ask  (If she's not too poorly, I will ask for a quick peep at her too  :Luv: )

Sorry not be keeping up to date with this.. I feel totally worn out lately and really need a holiday (coming up soon) so more things then ever to do... But Mark has kindly updated already.. Puss is still at the vets and they will be emailing me tomorrow with an update.. I am trying to think of a nice name for this little one, any ideas as she is proving to be a little survivor... She is black all over, I thought of Eve but a African or Greek name for lucky etc would be nice.. Rather then callling her poorly puss, plus it may mean abit more luck...

Again - updating for Sharon.

Kitten survived the night but has an infection and is weak. The vets receptionist took her home last night. The girls at the vets are going to look after her until she is a bit stronger. Also she is on meds.

Just in case you are sticking with plan a, I have one set of guests in and will be done with breakfast by 10am so at your disposal  ;D

Edit to say maybe a little later than 10am as due to the fire alarm incident last night, it's 8.30 and no sign of life from them yet  :tired:

Hi all
Sorry for not gettting back to on this.. Its been a mad house today.. Hardly got any work done...What Mark says is right and at the moment this is the plan (and only plan) alot more people have come forward Mark including Caroline another fosterer who is a nurse so used to doing shifts. However, she is in and out alot during the day and already has 5 kittens to take care of...

indeed this is maddeing at the beginning of last week i rehomed 14 kittens and 4 mums and from today had calls for just about the same number to come into our care becuase people cannot afford to take care of them.. The lastest a 16 wk old male white and tabby, on Sunday a 15 week old Lola tortie who was being terrorised by the local kids... Caroline now has a creche of kittens (all vac by the way) as its the only way we can deal with numbers...

Kitten is at the best place at the vets and hopefully can report on good news tomorrow.... No one found any siblings at all...

Now I need a cuppa!

I'm sure Sharon will update but she's at work at the moment.

The kitten is being kept in one more night at the vets (the same one I use). If she survives (please let her). Sharon has arranged for a fosterer round the corner from me to do the night shift and me to do the days - I think that is what Sharon is going for - she is sorting out food etc with the vet. I hope Sharon doesn't mind me giving this update but I know some people are wondering what's happening.

If there was any way to get it down to me on the South Coast, I would be happy to hand rear, it is what I specialise in, of course, the only trouble is the journey and feeding throughout but if a convoy could be arranged I would be happy to travel some of the way.

Sharon,

I can do it during the week if someone can take over friday evening. I will be here all the time (I can skip jaunts to canterbury for a week)

I could keep her in my attic room til Friday away from other cats.

Having abit of a crisis here... Our local vets contacted us this morning... A young kitten found on a building site.. Around 4 to 5 weeks old... Very week and may not survive... They have it in their care today but we need a person (very dedicated person) who can assist or be able to take on such a poorly puss... She is femaile around 5wks old but maybe youger.. Care needed for at least the next 2 weeks.. Fosterers this end work (as do I?) and that committment for hourly feeds is just too much..is there anybody who may be able to help.. Puss may not survive but if she lasts the night there may be hope....!

One of our fosterers can do the night shift she lives in Whitstable but daytime is a real problem...

Oh my has it been a very busy morning...
