A friend of mine has 3 orphan kittens and one of them has a habit of having a poo and sitting in it. where she has been cleaning it the kitten's bottom has become very sore. i told her to take her to the vet but she cannot until tomorrow. the kitten's bum is very sore and red, is there something she can put on it now to sooth it?

I agree with Sodocream - we used it on a poorly kitten.

Brilliant! Glad I now know what to use on the cats ;D I love the fact that you learn something new every day.

I know someone who's cat had a bad case of Fly struck and they were given a Human aloe vera cream for it !

Not 100% sure about this, but lodged in the back of my mind is a memory of reading that aloe vera isn't good for cats. Must check this sometime.

Taken from internet:-
Aloe vera is listed as a toxic plant by the National Animal Poison Control Centre.
I think that we should never give a cat any form of treatment without consulting with the vet first. So many potions and lotions that are OK for humans and even dogs can kill a cat. .
