Donations can come any time up to midnight 30th Sept so collecting from now :) . Any amount will help them buy food at least for all the little ones they have at the mo but the more we can raise the better ;D
I know Sunny Harbour, Paws Inn, Ron and Leslie all have an ave of 50 needy kittens and cats in their care at this mo so every bit can help them care for all these needy little ones. ;D

Hi Tan,
This sounds like a good idea but can you tell me how long it will be going on for and is it the first one to get the answer that wins the prize? The reason I ask is that I would like to take part but unfortunately I will be working on that day and wont get home until after five, even so I would still like to donate :)

Yes it will be the 1st to discipher all the clues and post the correct cat related sentence plus last 16th clue's full cat's name after the start of the hunt 7pm now on 1st Oct that wins the prizes and end of hunt.

Count the boys in ;D They'll have to wait til payday for their Mum to pay though as Riley's vet bills cleared me out! Luckily that's the 30th so just in time :)
I will be posting the 15 clues on threads over a period of time in a mixed order up to the start of the hunt. (this is so not all the clues are shown all together on recent posts option) :sneaky:
To be even sneakier you could edit other people's posts by adding the clues to their post, that way you couldn't just search for all posts by Tan to find the clues quickly :sneaky:

The actual treasure hunt part of the fundraiser is only really available to people who are free at 7pm on 1st October. Would it better to pick a winner from all the correct answers from a hat? (Could do it live on Ustream for all to see) That would give everyone a fair shot at winning the fab prizes ;D

The way I understand it is that Tan will 'hide' 15 clues in other people's posts in the Rescue & Rehoming section, each clue will lead you on to where the next clue will be and the answer to each clue will be a cats name. Take the first letter of each answer to spell out a cat related sentence, add the name of the cat the last clue is about and that is the winning answer ;D
Tan has said it's OK to donate via bank transfer or cheque if Paypal is not your thing so if you already have the details that would be fab ;D
All donations to be paid via our donate button at the bottom of the forum (Please pop a note to say “Treasure hunt fundraiser”) or contact me for other ways to pay ie by chq or bank transfer. All donations to be in by 30th September 2010.

The 1st clue will be issued to all entrance on the 1st at 7pm but you can hunt when ya like. :)
To be totally equal for timing if some can't play as soon as the 1st clue for the hunt is given out , instead of the 1st to post the correct cat related saying and last cat's name to win the prizes, we have adjusted it so you pm me your answer when you have done the hunt and all the correct answers will be put into a hat and the winner picked out live a week later.
This will allow peeps to play at their own pace whenever they like within a week from the start of the hunt at 7pm on 1st Oct.
I will pop a summary up in a mo so peeps know how the hunt will run and what to do :)

Auntie Tan, the Queen of Purrs, has had this great idea for a treasure hunt... the only thing missing is contestants :wow: Now that's where YOU come in :naughty:
The long and short of it is that your Mum's or Dad's donate a fiver which goes directly to cat rescue where it's needed most. Your Mum or Dad then gets to have a go at a feline treasure hunt and win great prizes (for us cats of course :P).

In truth I think the more you have read the threads previously the harder it becomes, for example I am stuck looking for a little cat that I hand reared I know his current name, I know his previous name but which thread I am lost as he is on so many :rofl: I am going to savour this and make it last a few days anyway :rofl:

Yeah .I am Tan thanks started them yesterday. At least the cats come and snuggle upto me, but admit not good combo chest infection and asthma so not feeling that great at the minute :(

Seriously everybuddy Thank you, that £55 used wisely can go a long way, for example Tescos have offer on pouches at present works out 24 pouches for £4 thats equal to 6 per £1 so 6 x55 equals 330 cat meals.
Please dont say my maths are wrong its been a long day.

Well done Ann and well done evryone for raising some much needed funds for the wonderful rescues.
I've been following the thread and its been cracking me up! Si, you are such a wind up (and don't try and play innocent).
Because of interviews and other "grown up" stuff this week I just didn't have the time to do the hunt (obviously was still glad I was able to donate) so pleeeeaaaassssse do another one Tan so I can actually have a go at the questions (before arranging please can you let me know so I can check my diary and let you know when I'm free ;D)
