I just wonder if I have a problem and need help ... :scared:
Front room has the four cushioned affair in the corner;
Lounge "had" :innocent: the 6ft tree, 2 radiator beds, the hammock, 2 wicker baskets (one 2 story and 1 converts into a carrier) ... yes the lounge is getting a wee bit crowded;
Kitchen has the heat reflective cushion on the table by the radiator which we may as well call their table as I think it's been used once by a human in the last 7 years
Back bedroom has a radiator bed and a smaller "rampart" tree
Front bedroom has 2 beds on the wardrobe, a bed on the floor and an igloo
So why in hell's name did I buy this? OK so it was 1/2 price as a weekend only offer but surely I should have more control? :-[ :-[ :-[
I would like to add that I need no advice from Andrew as I think we all know he needs help himself :evillaugh:
-
:evillaugh: :evillaugh: I cannot comment too much, as we too have a dining table that is almost exclusively the cats' domain, and one or two others dotted about here and there, although nowhere near as many as my Brummie pal, who clearly needs a little assistance with her patent lack of cat beds.
-
I am quite good with cat beds as I know they rarely use them (so pleased Kito is using the Danish Design bed that has been unused for years) but I do have blankets and fleeces all over the place  I've seen some dog beds in Wilkos for £10 - lovely soft duvets - and the only thing that's stopped me buying one so far is that I don't know where I'd put it as it's quite large (being intended as a dog bed!)
As to cat beds - I think Mary could give you a run for your money ;)
-
Raise you in the kitchen have an 8 foot job in the middle surrounded by 4 of the small single versions of it - in theory for Maverick the 3 legged hooligan, then we have 2 radiator beds, 3 cardboard boxes and a bed in a box :)
-
that bed is great, unfortunately I don't have two who would want to be that close to each other!
-
How could you not get them that bed they clearly love it. :Luv: Would be worse if they were ignoring it and sitting in the box it came in. Mine have mainly blankets and throws that I wash and move around for them. Also cardboard boxes. I did buy radiator beds but they didn't fit my radiators so went to the charity shop.

This is Winnie's "during the day" cat bed :evillaugh:
Mweekie xx

In this house we have 3 actual cat beds. Lilli likes her igloo when it's cold but prefers to be beside me as much as possible, be it on the sofa or in bed (on her own pillow what we got cases for frum Arnty Mary at orcshun.......). Pet beds hold no allure for Marmalade, who prefers to be beside me as much as possible, be it on the sofa or in bed. Teddy has a "my Prince" pillow (what he got frum orcshun) which he occasionally uses. However he prefers my bed. Crystal only has an interest in cat beds when Lilli is in one. She will hop up into the other igloo beside Lilli. However, Crystal prefers a lap or leg or any available space beside me. So, I generally don't bother too much with the cat beds.
-
I don't think one can have enough pet beds. I think those wicker beds are awesome, and they look so cosy. I can't remember how many cat beds we used to have, but for my current dog (a Cairn x who thinks his a cat) he has 2 downstairs, 3 in the bedroom, and about 5 in the loft as well as a cat igloo and wicker basket.
If you remember I also got a dome carrier bed just in case my brother came home with the car yard kittens, so that's another bed, I have stuffed toys in it at the moment. My current dog doesn't even fit in it, but my next will
-
Answering the question by my cats................one!
None will sleep in a real cat bed.
So we have the top of the fridge/freezer and new freezer, the new shelves in the kitchen , the old fridge with a large pile of carpet tiles on top, top of old microwave in bedroom, window sill in bedroom and top of cat tree in front room and the very top of a bookcase in study which all exclusively Lupins!
Sasa likes the old sofa that Ducha used to use in bedroom, lounger cushions under table in kitchen and other hiding places that I dont know where she goes.
Misa likes same lounger cushions, half a cat carrier on the landing, the kitchen floor and living room floor with a cat scratcher as a head rest and my bed as long as he gets non-stop strokes.............Sasa now likes this too and top of stairs.
Do I have cat beds yes, are they used no
I think we all need help :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

I'm not a big fan of cat beds, I've never had cats that want to use them! That bring said, Cleo does have one like this that she is often in when we go to wake her up in the morning
http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/scratching_posts/cardboard_cat_furniture/315507?gclid=CjwKEAjw4s2wBRDSnr2jwZenlkgSJABvFcwQyeQtUZHJJnV-o5T6vHHEH30Bhn4qqX0hxxb6SgZ7nxoC2yPw_wcB
Alfie loves his cube so I have put a pad in that and he spends quite a lot of time there.
During the day Cleo is usually on our bed (unless we are downstairs, then that is where they will both be).
-
Thats what Misas head rest is made of lol...............he loves it
-
The cat bed was commandeered same day it arrived by three of them. Billy just stalked it for a bit :scared: :scared: :scared:
I have no doubt that it will lose it's appeal in a few days :innocent:
-
My Magpie used to love his cat cube

Ok Rosella Here's what I have
1, 10 year old medium cat tree, 1 small cat tree, 1 homemade very large cat tree, 1 homemade free standing window bed, 6 window pads, 3 radiator beds, 1 furry igloo, 2 bean bag beds, 2 oval beds, 4 wall mounted hammocks, and a kitty city which is full of beds . I did have a few more but they went to the rescue.
During the day they use the large homemade tree, 2 beds in the kitty city get used and the hammocks get used a lot and so do the window pads.
At night they use my bed, a chair in the living room or the sofa.
I am at the moment planning and designing something else for them, maybe some bunk beds. I got hold of a lot of floorboard offcuts and other bits.
I really need help :evillaugh:
-
Oh hell Andrew. Seek help now whilst you still have a bed of your own :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
-
I'm not even going to count... too depressing. ;)
-
My two have to make do with Takeaway food boxes. :evillaugh: Originally it was just Bunty that had one but Biggles stole it so now they have one each, side by side on the kitchen table. :shify:
-
Biggles is a sprawler so he has his own footstool and several chairs, his favourite being the one in the bedroom that he can perch on the back of.
-
I tell a lie. :innocent: We do have one proper cat bed. It was supposed to be Bunty's but Biggles purloined it because it has a lowered edge at one point that enables him to sprawl.
-
Rosella see what you started
-
I'm not letting Mosi and Kito see this thread :shify:
-
I wish I looked that good in bed. There's no dribbling and snoring going on there, is there. None of those photographs show a cat, disjointing itself trying not to disturb it's hooman. :-: No cat sleeping with its paws in the air to hold up the duvet tent for it's hooman. No. Course not. Totters sleepily off, rubbing eyes and muttering...... :tired:
-
This morning I woke up with this. Lilli on HER pillow beside me and Crystal on the other side. Marli was at my back but naffed off coz I moved to get the camera.....
-
Aw blimey - purrfeck bliss! :Luv2:
-
Adorable ;D
Misa graced me with his presence for some strokes and ummm very sleepy and think he stayed there for a bit after I switched off the lights but at 6.7 kgs I cant do with him leaning on me for long I am afraid.
-
I always think it's suge a huge compliment when our cats hang out with us in the bedroom. Lets face it, there are plenty of places they could hang out in round the house to sleep, but when they come up to bed with us, it's just so special. :Luv:
Tinks is putting in a protest just now, and refusing to come into the bedroom cos he's in a huff about something. :-: Am wondering if he'll thaw after we go away over the weekend. He does appreciate the fact his Aunty Sue and Aunty Lynne come to pet sit, but Aunty Lynne can be a little - well - loud, for Tinks's tastes. :evillaugh:
-
Alfie prefers to be near us for much ofthe time.At the moment, I am lying on my bed, Mr S is sitting next to me - but he is sitting diagonally so that he doesn't disturb Alf who is curled up at the end of the bed ;D Cleo would usually be with us too, but she is with the greenpeeps having her most of her remaining teefies removed :(
-
Does this count as a bed?

-
Yes Susanne
Poor Clio hope it goes well
-
Susanne - definitely :evillaugh:
Slugsta - hope Cleo is home with you now and feeling none too worse for her ordeal. She'll be fine without her teef in a few days.
-
If I fits I sits!! I'm seriously in love with Mosi!!!
-
My billy has just seven beds and baskets. He uses four on a regular basis. All week, all year. He also likes sitting in other places. The big old combi telly , he used to love sitting on top of ,but the flat screen one is not suitable.
-
I seem to have a rarity, cats what love cat beds! Well, igloo type ones anyway. We have 3 scratch posts with beds on them plus a small fluffy square blanket thing that Zarny loves, 2 open beds, 1 igloo bed and 1 very fancy carrier which is like an igloo bed which is so popular we leave it out all the time for them and will be getting another one for the dining room. I also bought 2 wool blankets for them because they match the colour of their eyes. Billy quite likes snuggling into it :evillaugh: :Luv2: given that they have been here since end of July, do you think they are spoilt? :evillaugh:
Looking forward to the auction and seeing what comes up. :wow:
-
Mine tend not to use the beds I've bought specially for them, right up to the point I decide to put them away because they take up room to no purpose.
Then they suddenly decide that that particular bed, the one I'm about to move, is the perfect spot to sleep, and Bramble and Lily compete for it.
They have half a dozen beds of their own, but they count any surface as theirs too, so if you were able to ask them, they'd say there's no upper limit!
-
That sounds about right Dave
-
I think I count as a cat bed too! ;D

You are so under the paw

Here they are using some of the beds ;D The Kitty city has 13 beds

We all do Dave ;D

Don't worry Andrew    I've contacted the powers that be and a couple of nice chaps in white coats will be popping round to yours at lunchtime :evillaugh:
Loving all the pics :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

They're coming to take me away, ha, ha, hee, hee, ho, ho. To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time and I love to see those nice nurses in their clean white coats, cos they're coming to take me away............................
-

Am not! Haha, totally. I put them aside at work as I just had to have those colours, all my staff think I am barmy! :evillaugh:
You are so under the paw

Great thread :naughty:
-
OMG. All these gorgeous cat photos!! :Luv2:
My home has always been overrun with cat beds. Most of which were never used, the cats preferred to sleep on us or on our bed. :shy:
Rocky had one which he would only use if I turned it upside down so he could sleep underneath it. If it was the right way up, he’d attempt to turn it over himself.
So I bought him an igloo bed thinking he obviously preferred to be under cover. He slept on top of it. Cat logic.
This summer, Baileys favourite bed finally fell to pieces and I replaced it. In protest he slept underneath it & refused to get in it (see below) usually while looking as miserable as possible :sneaky:
-
 Daft boy!
-
Cats can be daft indeed but not our Noni :Luv2:
The bed seems to have been a pretty good buy so far :shify:
-
Lovin Bailey :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: Could be our Grouchie's twin :)
-
I like that basket but willing to bet nobody else here would
-
I love the basket as well. I even looked at getting one when my Brother was going to adopt the yard kittens which fell through. Sadly my current dog wouldn't fit in or on it, but if I ever get a feline or a smaller dog it's a must on my shopping list. :Luv:
