My name is Lisa and I am 36 years old. I joined Purrs yesterday because of the sad story of Sonny, the 18yr old gent that is at risk of PTS. Broke my heart! I'm such a sucker for cats! I have had many family cats including a big male ginger tom called Trigger, 3 strays including a blind cat and my last cat was the naughtiest feral tortie who was rescued at three weeks old from a hedge in the countryside by my brother as she had been dumped - she was in a right state but I loved her soooooooooo much (even the naugtiness). Sadly she passed away two years ago. I work from home so could offer love and attention befitting to an older cat xxxxxxxxxxxx

It's great having you onboard ... you certainly sound like you can offer Sonny the retirement home he deserves, I will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Just out of interest where didyou hear of his plight?

Actually my boyfriend was looking for a rescue cat to look after so I googled cat rescue - he found two cats that he is offering a new home to (two fluffy white cats, both with no ears 'cus they've had ear cancer! :() and I spotted Sonny in the desperate for re-homing section on this site. He had already agreed to have the fluffy ones at his house and I just couldn't resist Sonny's story so I thought that I could step in!. We are soooooooo soft!!!!!

Glad you've found us, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here. It really is a very friendly forum with lots of friendly helpful advice, if ever needed, and of course lots of fun.
