Gosh this thread has grown since 4pm. One thing good it has done is to prove to everyone that we all have our own opinions and sensitivity levels.

All it takes to keep Purrs a friendly forum is to continue as we have done, to be a little considerate to all members.

We have many friends on here and is more of an internet home to pop in and share sad stories, fun times, our views and to support the wonderful rescues.

I think we have exhausted all we can say about this and it can't do us all any good to keep any ill feelings going so will lock the thread shortly.

As Stu says life is too short to continue upsetting ourselves with this thread so lets say we agree to disagree.

There is no censorship on Purrs but there are rules of behaviour and once something goes beyond what is loosely termed acceptable action is and will be taken

I disaprove of quite a few of those vids on you've been framed , esp the ones where people obviously get very hurt & the wee kiddies that get major skelps on the head/face by swings etc (you know the type) not funny at all in the slightest.

However a few weeks ago a racoon stole a mat in a house through the catflap...now that was bloomin hilarious

I did exactly that when Marco the dafty ran into the bathroom too fast and banged into the bath panel, picked him up and made a fuss but it still looked a bit funny

Didnt see the 3rd one but actually just incase peeps dont know or realise what the guy was trying to put round the cats neck would have been a proper cat catcher tool i imagine and had he managed to sucessfully loop it over then yes for a few split seconds it might have been rather tight round the cats neck but just till he had grabbed its scruff and pressed the release button. (better than it jumping of falling) They arent particularily the nicest of things and i didnt like to have to use them but sometimes are necessary in some situations. (sorry it just occured to me that some folk might have thought it was some type of homemade thing)

Ok so in the cat getting rescued vid, I knew the only way was down- which I expected. I preferred that to the bloke putting that wire around its neck!!!

2nd video- a cat that jumped over a baby gate, missjudged and landed on its back- it lay there looking quite disorientated.

3rd video- a cat that got a shock, sped off the bed straight into a wall, head first with quite a bang.

As you know I'm not the mod that removed them, and I didn't ask for them to be deleted.
