Just a wee tip to add to the Zoo plus chat - when you are ordering there is an option on the checkout page to choose courier. The default is a German compnay which will pass it to Parcel Force. I left it as this with my first Order and ti took about 3 to egt to me after despatch.

On Tuesday lunchtime I ordered new cat litter and decided to opt for the DHL option to see if it made a difference as I still had free packaging- well I ordered Tues, it was despatched Wednesday and landed on my door step Thursday lunchtime. However OH didn't hear buzzer so that meant we were the ones that had to lug the 30kg litter up three flights of stairs!!! However might impressed that it took less than 48 hours to get to my front door!!!

That will be all my 10% off coupons and refunds thats nearly bankrupted them
Im glad they are listening tho, i dont mind the odd dent but 100% damaged takes the pee.

My last order was the worst ever, i was asked to send pictures, i spent ages photographing them to show the dents up and then couldnt reply to the email - was a send only account  >:(
I sent several messages enquiring where to send these pictures only to be told they didnt need them and will refund my card  :tired:

My Zooplus order came today... Looks like they have listened to the feedback, my VERY heavy order was in a different type of box and was bound using those plastic strips that are impossible to get off unless you have scissors.  Top marks to Zooplus  ;D

hey,
I order from zooplus regularly and havent had any major probs although I do think that they do not do any forward tinking when packing. But hey its cheap and comes to your front door - free p&p. Our delivery driver normally leaves the delivery with my next door neighbour which is handy!

But I agree not to be put off by this.  Everything's pretty cheap and its great buying heavy tins and litter with no p&p.  It does usually get here in one piece!

I agree and its not put me  off :)

I've been fairly lucky as the only thing I've had missing was one tin of something!  But the packaging is very poor.  Esp if you're out when they attempt to deliver so they have to take it back to the depot then re-deliver.  Usually arrives in a bit of a state!  Fortunately I've been in when my last few orders arrived and the boxes have still been in one piece.

When I ordered a cat tree from them a couple of years ago, it just arrived in it's own box (no extra packaging to account for it having to come all the way from Germany!) and DHL had secured it with lots of heavy tape.  Parcelforce dont seem to make any attempt to do that - I went to collect a box of food from them once that was falling apart and they hadn't put any tape on it at all.

But I agree not to be put off by this.  Everything's pretty cheap and its great buying heavy tins and litter with no p&p.  It does usually get here in one piece!

Why thank you  ;D

It is just some litter than my friend has been raving about and dare i say - I heart shaped mini cat tree - not cos I am soppy but because they wee bizzums have thus far turned their noses up at all provided scratching posts! :-:

I only noticed it as I was trying to find the link to click on to complain about my missing Bozita!

For anyone that is thinking of ordering from Zooplus - please don't be put off!  Have only ever had a problem with heavy orders, unfortuanately they send VERY heavy orders out in flimsy cardboard boxes. Their range of products  and prices are excellent as is the customer service should anything be wrong with your order.  Free or very cheap delivery too which normally comes pretty quickly considering it comes from Germany - oh, and Purrs rescue fund gets 5% of your total order if you ordered via the Zooplus link at the bottom of the page  :)

I don't know if you've noticed but half way down the 'Your item has been dispatched' email there is a survey on what condition teh parcel arrived in so looks like they are reviewing the packaging.  All you have to do is click on the link that best describes what condition your item arrived in.

Cheers didn't see that :) far too far down the email to hold my attention

I commented that i would rather pay p+p and get some packaging in my order. I get bubblewrap in a box that has 28kg of litter in it but nothing in the box with loose tins of food

They replied that due to logistical reasons this wasnt possible!!  :-: :-: :-:

Me too, I think I had about 8 Bozita missing, I emailed them and they refunded my card.  Hopefully they will start to twig on it's down to them packaging 25kg of food in a cardboard box the strength of a paper bag and either use stronger boxes or split the order up!

When I order at the weekend it usually arrives on the Wednesday, not sure if weekends are working days for them?  DHL is delivered by DHL (surprisingly!) and the GLS option which I think is the default is delivered by Parcelforce.

My order was dispatched on Wednesday, first time using the site. How long does it normally take from despatch??  Did yours appear Curlycatz?

I did notice you could choose courier - I just left it with the default as DHL have said before they can't find my address (my estate has been here 40 years lol!) so I figured the other guys must be better than them!!

Thats great! I was going to buy one of their massive scratch post tree play centre things and I have had cat beds and stuff from there in the past  ;D

Food I buy from a local 'pet free' pet shop who are brilliant for animal welfare, so I like to support them.

Oooh! Oooh! Great stuff! How cool I can help the charity while buying cat food!
I am actually thinking of putting in an order soon- I've seen the radiator bed there for £9, need some dry catfood too.
Cool beans.

How long does it normally take for orders to come from Zooplus please? Did someone say if they order on the weekend it comes Wednesday - so about 3 working days is the norm?

My friend raves about them but I am worried that I would miss the order or wait a wee while for it to arrive. Just curious - thanks

Well Iv only had a couple of orders from zooplus & cant fault them so far they have been pretty good with quick delivery & quick replys to emails.  One email I sent about a damaged perch i bought for me rats & they have now said they have refunded me my money with in 5 to 7 working days but Im puzzled that they dont wont the perch returned lol  :-:

Another email i sent asking if they will be stocking beauticat cat litter as i use this stuff  & want to order everything from the same site rather then bits here & bits there...anyhoo....this is their reply...

Thank you very much for your letter.

We are always delighted to receive feedback, and are dedicated to expand upon our existing catalogue of products. Regrettably, we currently do not stock Beauticat Cat Litter. But as we strive to provide the highest standards of quality in our products and services, your opinion is highly valued. We are currently collecting proposals in the endeavour to further broaden the scope of articles on offer.

Let us thank you again for your useful advice, and remain,

With kindest regards,

Your Service-Team

We want to continue to improve our services for you, and we would appreciate it if you would share your opinion with us with a quick click of the mouse

On a last note here......it took about 4 days for my order to come from germany & 1 week for an order to come from gloucester :-:

I usually find it's 3 days.  If I order at a weekend it usually comes on the following Wednesday which is fab given that it comes from Germany.  I ordered just before xmas and was very surprised to find it wasn't delayed and came on the Wednesday as normal.

RR - what's £3 a tin??  Most stuff is sold bulk so are you sure that's not for 6 tins?  I find the stuff very cheap.  Lots of good quality, high meat foods for felix/whiskas prices.  Bozita and Animonda Carny are favourites here and both work out at about 15p - 20p per 100g.  Free P&P too  ;D  They also sell Orijen dry food (grain free) at a great price - currently £1.30 for 400g.

I ordered on the 2nd and would normally have had a dispatch email by now but i imagine they have a xmas backlog.

RR, some of the brands are expensive but they are mainly high meat/free range products. Sometimes i treat my lot to a 6 pack of porta 21 for £9.50   so they get more than they would do normally from applaws.
