Oh how cute is she in that pic!  She doesn't look bothered by the babygro.  You should definitely keep the babygro - when she's fully grown you'll look at it in amazement that she actually fitted into it.  Good that she doesn't need it any more though  ;D

When she was wearing the babygro i'm sure Nova felt he was missing out on something as he'd walk around sniffing the grow lol :)

Anybody want to borrow the baby, the new trick she's learnt today is scratching my wooden bed frame as well as all doorways and bannisters in the house  :tired:

Had her ten day post op checkup today and she's been given the all clear, no more cones or baby gro's!

She was weighed and she's 3.9Kg at 7.5 months!  Big Baby!

This does mean no more laughing at this though

I swear she's not getting bigger just longer!

Mia and nova had their booster vaccinations tonight and Mia's only a kg heavier than Luna.

The wound's looking great - currently supervising her without clothing or cone but if she starts grooming the cone goes back on  :evillaugh:

Poor girl, I cut the sleeves off and made the bottom hole alot larger after this picture was taken and she was actually enjoying the freedom and being able to groom her legs - but she looked so silly.

I haven't put it back on since she wriggled out of it but i'll try again tonight as it's also heartbreaking watching her in the cone lol  :-[

That'd be fun Kirst we'll have to arrange that soon, let me know a few dates you are free :)

Luna hated me earlier, I bought a few cheap baby grows at lunchtime today and put her in one after cutting the bottom out for her.  It looked funny but she was happier being able to groom her ruff paws and legs - She managed to get it off earlier though so she's back in the plastic cone, which she can also get out of - she's an escape artist!

Lottie just thought you should know I bought 0-3 months size grows and she's almost too long for it lol

Luna's now home sporting a new fabric buster collar and a giant surgical plaster over the wound.  They gave me the buster collar as she's been licking the gauze of the plaster stuff!

We go back on Saturday then a week after that and hopefully we'll have no more problems

Right well I have only managed to try it on All That Jazz (who quite happily let me dress her in it) and it fits her around the front legs and body. She is around 2.3kg at the mo but a stockier build than Luna so I think that a 'tiny baby' sleepsuit will fit Luna ok (unless she needs her back legs through the legs in which case she might need a 'first size' for her long body length).

Is Luna still in the long and lanky phase? I am giggling about her weight though as Findlay wasn't much heavier at the same age :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

I am off to chase Minxy's kittens around with a babygro and I will report back on size recommendations (if I have any arms left )

Glad she's ok :)

Asda do really cheap 'value' babygros in packs of 3 so she can have 1 or 2 on whilst the other 1 or 2 are in the wash: http://direct.asda.com/george/baby-clothes/unisex/3-pack-sleepsuit/GEM2273,default,pd.html

Kirst fancy popping over for a cup of tea tonight?  :naughty: You actually can if you like but I have no babygrows to hand lol.  I like at the end house of my old street, 54  :)

I feel bad enough putting the cone on her but because the vet says she's worked out how to rub it even with the cone she'll need layers of protection

She's ok!

The vet said the most likely cause of the lump was a fatty cyst that formed around the stitches which were irritating her insides.  They've kept aside a piece of it to biopsy but only if this wound gets irritated.

She's eating and is alert which makes me happy, but the vet's suggested cutting a babygrow to size for her as she's already trying to mess with her wound in the recovery cage :tired:

She's off to the vets now - in the waiting room I was talking to a lady yesterday who was really nice and told me she worked as an animal nursing assistant for 14 years.  After the vet said Luna needed the operation I was figuring out logistics of which bus I could get or which taxi company would let me take a cat and the lady interupted and said she had a business and had a pet taxi service and gave me her business card.  It was only £6 which is cheaper than the taxi most likely and Luna liked her too.

I wish I could have taken her there myself but the bus at this time of the morning would be a nightmare.

She's just text and Luna's safely at the vets
