Not a prob Dawn - it is hard to admit at times, but the people who can admit it and put their feelings above our own are the strong ones, and animals are lucky to be with them, as they wont suffer. It is worse when they are one of hte ones that gets that bit deeper though.

I know in my heart it was time for her to go to the bridge, and I know she wouldn't have survived any treatment, it's hard to admit it to yourself when you love them so much but if I had kept her going, it would have been for my own selfish reasons ie that I didn't want to let go

I know I've done this numerous times but sadly, it never gets any easier. The one's that always have the knack of wriggling into my heart are always the one's where there's something wrong even if it isn't obvious at the time. I managed to have a chat with Sean today about her........I did try and avoid him this morning as I didn't really want to talk about her but then he collared me about the feral which eventually led onto the subject of Minnie. He said it was the kindest thing for her and he knew that I knew her life was going to be short

She'll be one I won't ever forget and she'll always have a special place in my heart along with Dylan, Nobby, Oscar, Max, Little Bob, Keiko, Fluffball and the other little furries that have made a difference in my life.

i am so sorry to hear this Dawn, I know how it feels to wonder if you did the right thing, or if you should have let them go sooner, but as long as she had a quality of life, you did the right thing to fight for/with her, to give her that chance and to know that nothing more could have been done, and to then be able to let her go when it was obvious that nothing more could have been done, that is what they all deserve. RIP little one.

Trace, she was another beautiful ginger princess and will always be remembered just as Molly will always be, I can still picture Molly's sweet face and I remember when I trapped Minnie, how much she reminded me of her

CC, we weren't exactly sure what was wrong with her, she has never grown but seemed reasonably healthy and blood tests didn't show anything untoward with her........her survival just wasn't meant to be

I was contemplating having a pm done on her but I couldn't face it, I wanted her to remain untouched and at peace. It won't bring her back and I will just be beating myself up if it was something we missed.

I'm sure Minnie is now playing on the bridge and all my babes will be looking after her.......I just feel so sad as she's come through so much and it was all in vain, when this happens, it makes you wonder if the decision should have been made sooner but then she wouldn't have had the chance. You get certain ones that steal your heart completely, Minnie was one of them........she was a little fighter right through to the end god love her and one that has broken my heart

I've always been concerned about Minnies health.......she did seem okay in herself for a long time but her size and everything else told different. I've cried bucketloads for her today.......I just feel I let her down and the funny thing was I said to Sean last night, sometimes I felt it was fairer to let her go but then I would have been gutted if there was a chance she would make it

She was really quiet last night after her jab and spent most of the time snuggled up to Jimmy but she reacted bad after the Anabolic steroid one she had last week so I assumed it was to be expected with her.........Minnie and jabs didn't suit each other but possibly because of what was going on with her internally or because of her size. When the vet checked her, she said she thought she was already on her way and that some brain damage was setting in, Minnie just lay there staring and didn't respond to stimulus

At least she's at peace now and I held her whilst she went........and she did go peacefully bless her.

I've got some very bad news concerning Minnie........I had to have her pts earlier on

She just wasn't right and the vet didn't think it was fair to try to pull her back from the brink. I'm not sure what was wrong with her but I don't think the jab helped matters last night......hubbie tends to think it was possibly delayed shock with her

I had a horrible feeling yesterday that her time was nearly up but you just have to hope, sadly in this case it didn't work

I'm normally quite brave when it come's to Minnie........I try not to let her get to me too much but I did have a cry earlier, I'm hoping she will surprise me and perk up over the next few days. Sean seems to think things are taking a toll on her body now though so it doesn't sound too hopeful

I think I'm going to have a word with Sean about checking her for a shunt. He did have a word with his mate who specialises in this sort of thing but because she doesn't show any psychological problems after eating, his mate has ruled it out. But as I've found with most of mine, when they are ill, nothing is how it should be........I think this is the only option, I've got some booked in on Thursday so I'll give Sean a ring tomorrow about getting Minnie in and see what he says. He may say no but if he does, she can just have the blood test on Thursday and see if that comes up with anything.

Everything possible will be done for her but my hopes are fading now for her survival

I really don't know what's going on with her and neither does Sean. I will just have to hope that her next bloods show up something......her last one's were clear but the next lot are going to be sent off. I'm so worried about her now and I wasn't impressed with the way she responded to the jab........it was weird, it was like she'd gone into shock for a couple of minutes and she just stood there and then started crying
