Her mouth's getting better and is certainly less painful...for a while she was on an opioid painkiller a bit like morphine  :scared:

I'll be able to have a look properly when I take her for her follow-up [assuming she comes home Monday] appointment next week. She hasn't eaten much today but when I went this evening, there was a dog somewhere howling its head off, poor thing, and the nurse said that's probably what's unnerved her and put her off her food. Tomorrow I'll take her up a nice dish of Tuna Imperial...it's her favourite  :)

The vet rang this morning and said that we should be able to bring Lily home on Monday, she's eating more frequently but still very small amounts so she'll have to keep her feeding tube in for a while longer.

I've been visiting her every evening for a hour and she's definitely feeling better, for a start she's not growling at her food anymore!! When I went up yesterday evening she had 3 kinds of food in with her...Liquivite [doesn't like it], a/d and [medicinal] tuna  :innocent: and the tubigrip t-shirt she's got to wear was looking a bit tatty - the nurse said it's because Lily's into everything when she's allowed out of her kennel  :Luv:. and I can tell she's been getting lots of fusses while she's there.

So, fingers crossed for Monday  :) and when she's home I'll try and get a photo of her - she's been so brave  ;D
