North Manchester - qualified in 2007 at Myerscough.  Managed to do the portfolio before it all changed - OMG we have a couple of trainees and the paperwork is even more immense!! :P  When do the sutures come out?  :)

Yeah its good. No redness around it. I was worried that one or 2 of the stitches were a little too tight, but htey seem ok.

Where are you based? I did 2 years of the vet nurse degree at Napier Uni but changed to animal biology after 2 years! I completed my first portfolio and everything!

Its amazing how they bounce back - if it had been us we would still be in bed!!  My clients are always amazed at how quick they recover.  How is the wound - from the piccies it looks like its healing ok. Cx

Hi am new to the site but was so thrilled to find it  :innocent:.  How is Pagan today? :shy:  I hope she is feeling better - I work at a vets and know how worrying the whole procedure is  :scared:.  Cats are very resilient creatures though as we all know!!

She is beautiful and Milo is a cheeky fella  :Luv2:

Well i woke htis morning to find cat minus coller. It was in the litter tray so i think she didnt try to get it of intentionally. The stitches look fine though. Il put it back on when i leave for my interview.

She has been going arounf in circles trying to itch her stitches but cant because of the coller. Its horrible to watch and hear

She will get the message! I know it looks awful but sometimes you have got to be cruel (or should I say "Feel") to be kind....tis much easier for her than to maybe cause infection or even worse the stitches coming out!  :scared:

Glad her op went well and I agree thats a tiny shaved area!  :wow:

The lamp shades are a bit of a nightmare but are also designed as to not let the cat rush about and jump etc....Im sure she will still have some pain relief running around inside her that has'nt worn off yet....

Im a worry pot and always leave the shades on for about 5 days!  8)

You could try raising the water and her food bowl for her!  ;)

She is gorgeous btw!  :Luv:

Thanks. I think so too  :Luv: I just put the coller back on half hour ago. I am worried she cant drink with it on or cant use the tray. She cant even go through a doorway without hitting it off the frame  :evillaugh:

Its not officially a bannk holiday no. Some people are off as they work for english companies.

Iv taken the coller off again and she seems better. Should i leave it off over night?

How come she had her op on a bank holiday?  Sorry I'm just assuming you are UK based?

What a small patch of fur removed. Bless her. She looks fine.  Our little uns were spayed last Thursday. They didn't have to have collars but that didn't stop me worrying for a couple of nights that they would pull the stitches out overnight.  Hopefully you'll find she doesn't need the collar for more than a day or so.  Have you tried distracting her with a favourite toy when the collar is off?  Vet nurse explained cats usually try to interfere with stitches for the 1st 24hours or so which is to be expected.  Our 2 have been quieter than usual for a few days. Believe me this is gonna concern you more than her

My poor girly is back. She needs a coller on as she wont leave her stitches alone. I tried her without it but she wont leave them. Iv kept Milo away too. He said hi to her through the carry box though. She really doesnt like the coller (what cat does!) and isnt settling at all. She keeps wandering about giving me the most evil looks!
