If you can help, please let me know. :) Thank you!
-
More information is needed!
-
What information? There's no set date yet and I've requested the exact location which I'll PM to anyone that might be able to help. Sue C has already offered to do Pembroke to Carmathen. ;)
-
I would like to know about the home the cat is going to and whether there has been a home check or whether the new owner is known to us?
As you know I live in carmasrthenshire!!
-
Gill, the new home is a friend who I've had for 17 years. She has two indoor only boys already that are a little refined in age. They're both quite easy going. I trust this lady to care for the boy completely; she even cared for Carrie and Jack when I went away for a long weekend with my parents many years ago. What else would you like to know?
(PS: We've already established when I'm recovered from the bug I'd be going round to see how the lad's settling in and I have a standard adoption form in case anything doesn't work out.)
-
Thats great JS.........I can pick up from Carmarthen and take to the Bridge or just past
-
we could do from the Bridge or just past to say Birmingham but would have to be a weekend
-
Thats great JS.........I can pick up from Carmarthen and take to the Bridge or just past
That's great Gill. Would be lovely to meet you :)
-
And you Sue ;D and also want to see that gorgeous cat ;D
-
Am so excited for Jo!! He's a looker - I'm sad I couldn't offer him a home but I have to put the three I have first. Thank you all so much!
-
I think it's covered! Is this weekend OK for everyone?
-
Fine by me. Can you PM me the exact location of pick up please JS.
-
Yes as far as I know but would like to know the full chain and what is happening about a carrier for him.
Also how do we make connections with each other incase of a problem?
Not too early in the morning please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont like vague details!
-
LOL Gill :evillaugh:
What do you class as too early?
If he doesn't come with a carrier I assume we each have to provide one for our own leg of the journey.
We should also swap mobile numbers with the person we are connecting with (I'll PM you mine in a minute).
I hope he's a good traveller :scared:
-
Ummmmmm anything in morning is too early
I have pmed you and we need to know what day is this happening.
The message is that if we have to change carrier for him no car door must be open at any exchange at all. It does make it harder if we have to keep moving him though cos its more upsetting for him .
Alison in Cheltenham has got snow so we must be aware that arrangements may suddenly have to change if the snow comes down along the route especially at the Bridge cos they close it without notice too often
-
OK the chain is as follows:
From Laura to Sue
From Sue to Gill
From Gill to Cazzer
Here's a bit tricky - I THINK it's from Cazzer to a Facebook volunteer Sharon
From Sharon to another Facebook volunteer Rachel
To Jo!
That's quite a lot of swaps! Hope he'll be OK. :)
EDIT: Anyone else following the progress on Facebook, let me know if I've missed anything.....
-
What do you mean YOU THINK lol......you have to know!
We cant have cazzer stranded with a cat!
-
Sorry if I've missed this anywhere but has it been narrowed down from *the weekend* to a definite day?
-
Not that I have heard!
-
Am trying to sort it today - bear with me folks, I've got a serious full on cold and it's making it hard to remember. Cazzer if you're on Facebook can you PM me your info so I can add you? Thanks.
-
Please post everything here on Purrs JS cos I dont do stuff through FB.....hope your cold is improving
-
That would work, but some of the volunteers aren't Purrs members. So I can't! And thank you.
-
Info needs to be posted in both places then
-
Am trying to get the couple of people that aren't members on here to join to make it easier to follow.
-
Thats great JS and Sue and I have our arrangements made, just waiting for the day and have pmed cazzer but she will be at work at the moment.
-
Just to add that trigger has donated a carrier which I will be picking up tomorrow and Sue and I will transfer him into it in Carmarthen so he doesnt have to change carrier again on route.
We are both going to be kitted out for accidents :innocent:
-
Cool. Rachel has joined now. I think it's just Sharon we're waiting for. (Unless she's a member already and I've missed it!)
-
Yes, I'm here but I don't treally know what I'm supposed to do on forums.
-
Oh you dont have to do much lol.....have a look around, post a few times, fall in love with all the gorgeous cats here, especially Pussy who is with me and needs a home :innocent:
http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,36089.0.html
I am the carmarthen part of this journey ;D
:welcome: to Purrs by the way ;D
-
It's all very exciting! If I could take each and every cat in I would. JackSpratt's posts on Facebook make me weep :'(
-
I is already a member :D have posted anyway :) :wow:
-
OK, so peeps need to exchange contact info. Will get Lauras info to give to Sue.....how's the cat carrier situation going to work?
-
I have a carrier to use for my leg (provided he doesn't come in one already) and Gill and I will (SAFELY AND WITH ALL CAR DOORS AND WINDOWS FIRMLY CLOSED ;)) transfer him into the carrier Trigger is donating :)
-
Cool. :)
-
and Sue will have the option of keeping the one I am handing over to Gill and leaving him in hers 8)
-
Good point. So what's the best day for everyone?
-
unfortunately now I can only do Saturday. I hope this doesn't cause a problem
-
Oh and is it Cookielady I'm passing cat onto to [apologies Cookielady as don't know your name!]
-
Hey Cazzer its sharon :)
Right due to my current situation and workload I can only do Friday morning lunchtime this week cant do weekend at all this week and cant do monday as its my nans funreal and the mother inlaws goin in hosp could do a day next week? weeeknds are out for me with the club unfortunately :-: if I can help I will but time is somethign I dont have alot of right this moment
-
Do we need someone to cover Sharons part then? That would be from Birmingham to Derby.
-
Yes we do need to cover that and fast LOL
I am fine for Saturday.
In fact apart from the intial pick up we are sorted from there right thro to cazzer in terms of meeting.
-
Maybe IF you can be little more specific on run timings I might be able to do it, would like to help just need squeeeeze it in somewhere lol :Luv2:
-
OK, it's looking like Saturday then - have let Laura know. ;)
-
Saturday is good for me :)
-
This is emabarrassing but need to ask a favour from everyone from cazzer onwards....its theoretical at the moment.
Would it be possible to take a second cat from cazzer onwards to be collected at Chesterfield by someone from Widnes, Cheshire?
This cat would not be happy sitting in a carrier next to the boy, she is very quiet unless there is another cat around. I had her in the front of my car with another in the back and no problems, last week.
-
Is this Pussy?!
-
Yes :shify: :shify: :shify:
-
:)
-
Hi Gill
Cazzers OH here. Not a problem with us. Happy to help.
Alan
-
Lauras number sent to Sue. ;)
-
Ta hun, will give her a call as soon as I hear from Gill as to what's the earliest she can meet me :)
-
I am still set for Saturday. However, I am unsure about the second cat that may need transport. I only have a tiny car and will have the grey man, plus Jo and Zach with me on the Derby to Chesterfield leg of the journey. There won't be room for another cat, unless I have a word with Jo and we could revise our plans......
-
I'm sure she'd understand if you explained it's another feline needing a home. ;)
-
Can we confirm where I am going to take the second cat please? I haven't finalised with Sharon about ther handover of the handsome young grey man yet either. As I am new to all this I want to make sure I am doing everything correctly.
-
URGENT: Birmingham to Derby needs to be covered as all the other legs are and Sharon has just told me she definitely can't do Saturday. If you can help, please let me know!
-
If the other cat travels and wont know for sure until tonight, it will be collected from you by Lau at either the destination for the grey cat of on the way there.
Lau will be coming from Widnes but need to know whether you can cope with two largish cat carriers before she rings me tonight if possible.
It just seems a little daft for the same route except for end of relay to have to be done twice close together, especially as petrol costs are so high.
-
cazzer, can you PM Rachel and let her know where in Birmingham you'd be able to do to? And post on here too - thanks!
-
Js , does this mean Sharon is out and rachel is doing that leg too?
-
I can get two cat carriers on my back seat but not sure whether they would be classified as large. I drive a Peugeot 106 (4 door) and it is roomier than you might think.
I hope we can get the Birmingham to Derby leg covered. We are so close!
-
I can measure them for you if that will help
-
Yes please! I think we'll be OK with space but it is best to check....
-
Also, I am going to update my Facebook status to see if anyone out there can help with the Birmingham to Derby leg of the journey. I don't suppose someone would be able to help me word it please? I don't want to get it wrong and end up welcoming all sorts of offers!!!!
-
It may be better if we put it on Purrs or Cat Chat rather than FB.............does this mean that sharon is not taking part definately.
If so I will help you word it and we can go in the chat room here and sort it out.
-
I'm glad I checked first! As I have said previously I am new to all this and really want to make sure I don't make any boobs.
It appears that Sharon can't help on the Saturday after all. She has so much on at the moment. We've got a couple of days to sort this out and I have every confidence :)
-
Ok so do we put a plea out on Cat chat and here and what is the leg.......birmingham to Derby?
Do you wanna come in the chat room and talk about this cos we need to sirt it out very quickly
-
Requests put on here, CatChat and Facebook. (I always ask on all three Gill, we can tie it back into here if needed.) Sharon has recently had a family bereavement as well as her usual day to day responsibilities so it was a bit too much to try and organise.
-
i would rather collect pussy from birmingham if that eases things, it's actually closer than chesterfield
-
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh that would be from cazzer ;D ;D
-
Yup. Have sent cazzer a message asking if she'd meet Rachel halfway between Birmingham and Derby. If she's prepared to do that then it's all sorted again. ;)
-
Thats a big ask JS!
-
just got in and going out to vet's now. will catch up later with everyone. We are not going back to Bristol afterwards but to Glastonbury so its about an two and a half hour drive from Birmingham anyway, so we might not be able to go much further North.
-
Hope all goes well at the vets
-
I understand cazzer. (And yes Gill it was a bit cheeky. :shy: But not being very good with geography distance is lost on me.)
Cazzer, hope all went well at the vets. If Birmingham is as far as you can get will keep trying to find someone for Birmingham to Derby.
-
Back from vet's [Sassie had to have B12 jab for her IBD]. Have worked out it is about 2 hours 15 to Glastonbury so reluctantly will have to say we can do to Birmingham only
-
 Thanks for checking though, cazzer. Will keep trying to find someone. ;)
-
Can you tell me whereabouts in Birmingham you can do to cazzer? Thanks. :)
-
well for Cookielady given she was coming from the M6 I was suggesting J2 of the M5 [Dudley] and meeting in the ASDA car park but could do elsewhere if need be
-
I can do the last bit! Have been on FB just needed to know where in Bham-Dudley's even better for me!
-
Yay for Shirley :wow:
-
We're on again! So I just need to know where to meet Shirley! Whoop whoop!
-
Sorry Rachel, haven't read all the posts-where are you?
LOL Sue!
-
I'm doing the Derby to Chesterfield part!
-
Oh,lol! Don't know anywhere in Derby so if u can give me a post code, i'll put it in my sat nav!
Cazzer, do u mean the Asda at the Merry Hill centre?
-
Well, I don't know Derby too well. So we need a public place that would be easy for us both to get to. Any suggestions?
-
Yeay for Shirley! Hmmm not that up on Derby...... :scared:
-
LOL again! Is Derby a big place? We could meet on a supermarket car park?
-
I was thinking the same, Shirley! I am just going to have a look and see which area of Derby is most accessible from both Chesterfield and Dudley.
-
Rachel, you're getting good at this - be careful. ;)
-

-
This is my idea, Shirley. In fact I will run it by you all. A supermarket car park might be quite busy on a Saturday. This could freak the puss(es) out. There is a university in Derby that is easy to get to and this is less likely to be busy so we should be able to transfer the cargo from one car to another in a bit more peace.
The location I am suggesting is University of Derby, Kedleston Road site, DE22 1GB. It is just off the A38. Let me know what you think..........
-
Good thinking Rachel! I'll find it somehow!
-
Hopefully our sat navs will pick it up! And we can exchange mobile numbers before the weekend should we need to get in contact with one another.
-
No probs-lets do it now in case i forget,lol-i'll PM you
-
Still not sure where i'm meeting Cazzer!
-
Maybe everyone should put meeting points and estimated times on here...? :shy:
-
As I am undertaking the last leg of the journey I will just wait to be told what time I need to be in Derby. I can't tell you how excited I am!
-
Good idea JS-Sue cav will have to start when she's phoned Laura( ?) tomorrow then we can work from there!
-
Is there any news on the additional puss?
-
Cazzer's gone of line so have PM'd her. Can't do anything else for now, so nite all!
-
Sorry I keep falling asleep but welcome to the madhouse Shirley ;D
The additional cat is still theoretical until tomorrow night but will be picked up from Cazzer roughly in birmingham by Lau. Sadly we couldt talk tonight as planned cos she was ill, so we will talk tomorrow evening.
So this leaves the last two legs just with the grey boy ;D
Timing wise at the beginning Sue and I are hoping to meet in B&Q carpark in Carmarthen at approx 1000 where we will move grey boy to his permanent travelling carrier.
My journey onwards really depends on the traffic, especially in J23 to 27 on M4 because of the :censored: :censored: 50mph speed limit but Cazzer and I are meeting at the service station at Magor on M4 and hope that would be between 1130 and 1200. Grey Boy and Pussy will both be in permanent carriers so its only a transfer of the carriers plus a bit of food coming with Pussy plus probably a very emmotional me saying goodbye to Pussy..........sorry :'(
All of this of course depends on what Sue can arrange with the person with grey boy.
Once Lau and I have talked tomorrow evening, if Pussy is moving she and Cazzer will have to pm to sort out the handover of Pussy.
I hope this sounds OK? Sue, I and Cazzer have exchanged mobile numbers and car details. I can ring cazzer when I leave Carmarthen.
-
Yes, I'm hoping the pick up is in Pembroke itself and not one of the outlying villages out in the sticks as that could push the time back quite a bit.
As it stands I'm hoping for a 9am pick up in Pembroke which will get me to Carmarthen for around 10am (It's not a huge distance but lots of speed restrictions and windy roads down here...motorways don't come this far ;) )
Will confirm later ;)
-
I know that part of the journey well. It looks like we will be handing the cargo in Derby mid to late afternoon, all being well. I will keep watching on here to see the progress. Is there any chance that people earlier in the chain can keep us later ones updated by text of any delays and such? I might not be at my computer all Saturday as I have a lot of bits to do before I set off to collect the grey boy.
-
Another good idea Rachel! ;D You've done this before, lol :evillaugh:
-
This is my first time. I am a virgin! Honest! Just so desperately want everything to go well for all involved :Luv:
-
I'm a virgin too........but don't think of your ideas, lol!
-
Re Birmingham changeover, would it be possible for all of us to meet at the same place for both handovers. At the moment the suggestion is to make handover at garage near junction 2 (?) on M5, Shirley to confirm where. Would this be ok for Lau?
-
Hi Cazzer! Just checked, it IS J2 but the garage would be on the wrong side of the dual carriageway when you come of the motorway-oops! There is a Toys R Us store on the island as you come off-any good? :-[
-
No answer from Laura so have left a message to call me back.
-
Just spoken to Laura and I'm picking Puss up at 9am.
Have requested he not be fed that morning but I'll bring some water and dry biscuits for him to snack on.
-
Awwww lovely! I'm near the end of the journey so plenty of plastic bags on the seats, lol!
-
Awwww lovely! I'm near the end of the journey so plenty of plastic bags on the seats, lol!
I'm thinking something similar...and I'm at the start
He's an unknown quantity re: travelling so best to be prepared ;)
-
Had one i was taking to a foster home wee on the front seat-nice! Beautiful black boy. (Mikey's) Heather said you should always put a plastic bag on the seat, so i have ever since, lol! :evillaugh:
-
I dont know how Lau is today cos came home from work sicj yesterday but will pm her to read this thread.
Please remember that grey boy is an unneutered Tom LOL.................I am bring some neutrodol spray too
One other little thing is I am useless on a mobile and have no idea how to text! I had to search Nokias site to ring them to find out how to pick up a message............ :-[ :-[ :-[ and have no idea how to pick up a text!
I am sure cazzer will know how to do this and I am far too early in chain to goive any useful info although will rind cazzer when I leave Carmarthen ;D
-
i don't know the area at all, but if i know a rough estimate of time, i can arrange myself accordingly. do we have a services to meet at or something? as junction 2 doesn't show up on my satnav. i have recently got a new phone which i don't know how to use to please bear with me and the phone! i'm feeling better today but not 100% but will be fine to collect darling pussy kitten. it will be an hours journey or so for me, so i will set out earlier so as not to be late.
i'm ringing Gill this evening to hopefully set this all in stone
-
Please remember that grey boy is an unneutered Tom LOL.................I am bring some neutrodol spray too
OMG forgot that small detail !!!! Can i drop out now please????? (Only joking!)
Don't know about any services nearby-i think it's the Oldbury junction, Lau, if that's any help!
-
Post code for Toys R Us is B69 4RJ-any use Lau?
-
OMG forgot that small detail !!!! Can i drop out now please????? (Only joking!)
I'm toying with the idea of putting the carrier in one of those large plastic coated shopper bags...so if he sprays and it gets through the ventilation slats the bag will contain it.....or is that a bit cruel? It's no different to covering the carrier with a towel really is it? Don't want to freak the poor boy out though :/
-
It's different Sue. Plastic doesn't "breathe" like material.....Sorry. ;)
-
Maybe just cover with a towel........? (if he doesn't freak out of course!) Think most cats are calm with a towel over aren't they but it's a long journey, so maybe just cross your fingers, lol x
-
It's different Sue. Plastic doesn't "breathe" like material.....Sorry. ;)
It's a mahoosive bag twice the size of carrier so lots of ventilation but I'll figure out a plan B instead ;)
-
If he does have an accident, there's been enough tips on CC lately on how to get rid of the smell, lol! x
-
If he does have an accident, there's been enough tips on CC lately on how to get rid of the smell, lol! x
LOL! That's true! x
-
Sue, there's a couple of towels coming with the carrier, now with Gill
-
Post code for Toys R Us is B69 4RJ-any use Lau?
yes that is fantastic thanks
-
Just spoke to Lau and Pussy is now officially part of the relay ;D ;D ;D
I am sure she is going to a very good home and will be spayed and glued on Monday ;D ;D ;D and possibly chipped, for got to mention that when we spoke. :innocent:
There will be carrrier bag coming with her for Lau which will have her food in and will bring food and water and a litter tray just incase of accidents.
I will be putting a towel over both carriers, Pussys will go with her but cant afford to let the one for grey boy to go with him so up to cazzer and others for his cover.
My goodness we are nearly ready, all I have to do now is move all the junk off back seat......sigh
-
chipped too, Gill :)
-
I have been out all day. I have been trying to follow the thread but I am just a little bit confused. I am only taking grey boy from Derby to Chesterfield now, aren't I?
-
Yes thats it Rachel cos its easier for Lau to pick up Pussy from the birmingham change over point, so grey boy will come towards you and Pussy will be going off with her new meowmy ;D
Thanks Lau.........Pussy says she prefers fish LOL
-
Looks like about 3pm i'll be seeing you, Rachel........ ;D
-
That's great news! I will leave here in plenty of time. Have you got someone coming with you? If so I can ring and check your progress.....
-
No unfortunately!!! My CP friend can't make it-could've done Sun tho, lol! :evillaugh:
Nite all!
-
Good luck to all of us tomorrow-snow's almost gone-yaah! Hope it runs smoothly (and i don't get lost, lol!) ;D
-
Good luck to everyone and hope I stay withing that bloomin 50mph speed limit for loads of Junctions on M4. Pleased snow has gone and hope you all have a trouble free drive and handover.
See you at Magor Cazzer and will ring you as I leave Carmarthen ;D
See you in Carmarthen Sue and you can see pretty Pussy ;D ;D
I wanted take a picture of her posing on the cat tree but as soon as I came in she raced across the room to be with me ;D
-
Morning All,
Carrier has been liberally sprayed with Feliway and is in position in the car.
I'll be setting off in about 30 minutes.
Gill I'll call you when Grey Boy has been transferred to me...see you in Carmarthen ;D
Good luck everyone!
xx
-
Same to you Sue! Hope he's a good boy! Have fun everyone! :evillaugh:
-
good luck everyone. See you later Gill, Lau Shirley & cats!
-
OMG. The temptation of meeting up with Shirley and Lau for the hand over near Toys R Us is hoooge but am working today. Best of luck everyone
-
LOL Cazzer! x
Are you working all day, Rosella? I won't be meeting Cazzer until about 1pm-ish??.......... :evillaugh:.x
-
Grey boy should be about half an hour into his loooooong journey by now.....awwww!
-
Just had a text from Sue-she says he's GAWJUS and so affectionate!!! :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
i have got him a little gift to apologise for me and pussy jumping on his transport run, i bet he will be quite happy until she gets in the car too. see you all later :)
-
Hoping all goes smoothly. Well done you lot!
-
First changeover done nearly an hour ago! ;D
-
Just had a text from Sue-she says he's GAWJUS and so affectionate!!! :Luv2: :Luv2:
OMG! He was adorable :Luv2: but so tiny. I was expecting a huge boy but he's not at all. Didn't hear a peep out of him the whole way...in fact I started to wonder if he was even on board  A few little meows when we stopped and I spoke to him but he's very quiet.
I gave him a few biccies which went down well and I filled up his water bowl which he drank so quickly I gave him a second bowlful as he was obviously desperately thirsty. Stuck my hand in and gave him fuss which he LOVED and when Gill arrived we decided to give him a little more water...didn't want him dehydrated on the long journey. He seemed satisfied after the third bowlful but slightly worrying that he drank nearly half a 380ml bottle of water
Safe journey Gill and Grey Boy
Lau ~ Pussy is stunning. You are sooo lucky. I think I fell a little in :Luv2: with her myself.
-
Bless him! And glad Pussy's doing OK too.
-
Sue, thanks for that! He'll just about be ready for a massive wee when i pick him up,lol!
-
:evillaugh:  :evillaugh:
I think someone has a litter tray so you might be ok ;)
-
Pussy and grey boy left with cazzer about
an hour 2 hours ago..........he is gorgeous and so small and so thirsty.
My heart is just totally broken and Pussy learned to meow and sang all the way which was making driving very hard cos it was breaking me up as she tried so hard to escape and catch my hand.
She tried every trick she could think of to get me too look at her and get her out of that carrier, she even rolled over and looked at me with big pleading eyes.
This is just the worst thing I have ever done :'( :'( :'( :'(
I so wish it could have worked for her to stay with me but just know it couldnt and now I will have 4 happy cats who dont care a fig about me but will be pleased cos Pussy has gone.
Oh Lau you have one stunning kitten who just wants to be loved and safe.
-
(((((Gill)))))))
Having seen beautiful Pussy I can well understand how you're feeling.
I've seen the pics and they just don't do her justice...she is stunning.
Lau is indeed one lucky lady.
Sending you lots of
-
This is just the worst thing I have ever done :'( :'( :'( :'(
Oh Gill, no it's not... quite the opposite.
Been following Pussy's thread and you have done the very best for her and your own pusses (who I'm sure love you dearly).

-
I dont know how fosters do it, she was only here sucha short time and she loved me as much as I loved her..............mine love me in their own way but so differently.
How does this happen in such a short time :'( :'(
-
I dont know how fosters do it, she was only here sucha short time and she loved me as much as I loved her..............mine love me in their own way but so differently.
How does this happen in such a short time :'( :'(
That's why she got under you skin so much Gill
Hopefully we'll have an update later from Lau as to how she's settling in.
Hugs xx
-
:care: Gill, you've done an amazing thing. Cared for Pussy, realised your mob can't cope with a newcomer, however lovely, and found her a safe home where she'll be loved.
-
Gill lots of hugs, you did incredibly well. I know it is hard as I said I've had to to do it myself with my much loved raggie Beau who I had to rehome after 6 years. You have to try and put your own feelings aside at such times and think of the cats.
I didn't hear a peep out of either cat on the whole journey and met up with Lau and Shirley on time so I'm sure by now Pussy will be in her new home.
-
Thanks Carol, Sue, and Jasmine and Shonagh, hoping Lau will post soon but know she has other cats to see to.
-
Awwww Gill  She is indeed a beauty!!! Only saw her for a few minutes cos wanted to get grey boy home! Think everyone fell in love with him-he is sooooooooooo cute-reminds me so much of my Charlie, except Charlie is a darker grey, but the image of him in old pics from the factory :Luv2: :Luv2: He never made any noise all the way, seemed pretty settled. :Luv2: :Luv2:He would've been home about 4pm-bet he couldn't wait to get out of the carrier, bless him! :evillaugh:
It was lovely to meet everyone and i hope both of the furries have fantastic lives!
-
thank you all for your help again. pussy is fast asleep in her room now, i'm leaving her in peace to settle in so i will post an update in a few days time. she is adorable. there wasn't a peep from her the whole way home. i didn't look at her as i was driving but we stopped at lights, so i peeked in. she was on her back, looking at the ceiling of the carrier, with her feet in the air. she gave me quite a fright and i whispered "Puss" she just turned looked at me with disgust. poor girl was asleep!!! and i'd dared to wake her up!
wow wasn't grey boy a stunner, he looks alot like a feral cat i keep seeing here. he was so much smaller than i expected but lovely just the same.
it was lovely to meet you shirley, your friend and cazzer :)
-

I took my camera but there wasnt space to take a pic of the GB who is really gorgeous. Also couldnt take one Of Pussy cos was too emotional by then.
Pussy is being spayed on Monday so a lot for her to take in this weekend and I too cant wait for pics and updates.

Thank you everyone for involving me in this special project. It has been an honour and privilege to have made a contribution (if only a tiny one!) and I can't wait to see more photos and hear updates about how both cats are settling in. You are all amazing! :Luv2:
-
So you have delivered GB to his new home then?
Its been a big day for all of us and also Pussy and GB and really hope they are very happy in their new homes,.
Amazing that it all started in Pembrokeshire around 0900 this morning and we all are back home safely and so are the cats.
Without your help Rachel GB would not have got to his home ;D

We got back just after 4 this afternoon. Freddie settled himself in very quickly. I didn't want to leave! I am feeling quite overwhelmed and emotional now. It really has been a fantastic day :Luv:

Gill, GB is what Charlie was called during his mammoth story on CC before he had a name-how weird is that!! Hope you're ok!
Awwww Rachel

:evillaugh: @ Pussy sleeping on her back legs in the air. I too am looking forward to an update on Pussy. I didn't see her for long but she's so gorgeous I must follow the updates on here.
Aww sweet little grey boy...Freddie is it? ;D I could have easily taken him home...just adorable :Luv2: What a long day he had and he was soooo good.
Our own cats kick up such a fuss when we take them in the car yet these pusscats have been so well behaved...bet it'll be a different story when they settle with their new slaves and take a trip to the vets ;D
I too feel honoured and a teensy bit emotional. Today has given me a very warm fuzzy feeling :)
Very best of luck to both furries and their new slaves

Wow I didnt know that and so pleased he has a home now.
I am just very emotional right now and wish Franta would come and cuddle me.
I think the two relays today have been wonderful......4 cats homed ;D

Grey Boy got called Grey Boy because it took Laura a while to get the people who had him to tell her his name. Turns out he was called Shadow, but his new small human chose him a new name for his new start. I think Freddie suits him. :)
So pleased. Well done all of you!

None of this would have happened without JackSpratt! You are amazing!

Well done to everyone involved in both relays. Proud to "know" you all :) :) :)

So it might be Rosie and Freddie? That's rather nice ;D
