Title: is popcorn safe for cats??

Im sat watching a film with a bowl of plain air poped popcorn and bella keeps trying to steal some. Is it safe to let her have a taste??

I never give my cat anything except a few tastes off the yoghurt pots. Just stays with pet food and never have any problems with him.  :hug:

Riley has eaten it before with no issues but he's a guzzle guts who will eat anything not intended for him! I wouldn't purposefully give her any but if she managed to munch a few stray pieces I don't think it would do her any harm.

I have given Denzel a few little bits before with no adverse effects. I just gave her a few bits from round the edges tho, not the kernely bits.

Sly licked some popcorn once then chased it round the floor for the rest of the night.  :rofl: Its not toxic to them (lots of the organic cat litter is made from the same stuff, Worlds Best etc.) but I wouldn't let her get into the habit of being fed human food.
Thats where obesity starts in pets I'm afraid  :-[

So at least he burned the calories off then!  :rofl:

Grapes are good for that too  :evillaugh: although a while ago I found one that had turned into a raisin behind the settee  :-[

Lu prefers peanut M&M's, plus they make a good noise when he rebounds them off furniture too  :naughty:

Yes it would seem she didnt want to eat it just play with it, think it was all the crunching that got her attention she found abit id dropped and she was chasing it round for ages
