Hello, this is Cougar (formerly known as Mr C) who is currently with us at Gateshead CP after being found as a stray. He is around 2 years of age and as you can see he is a very tall, elegant cat and very handsome. He is an exceptionally laid back young man who loves just chilling out and being made a fuss of, and also doesn"t mind being picked up and cuddled. Because Cougar is FIV positive he will need to be homed with either another FIV+ cat or a home without any other animals. He also needs to be kept entirely as an indoor cat and because of this a home without children, or possibly with older children would be advisable - so that doors cannot be accidentally left open for him to get out. Cougar would make someone an absolutely lovely companion and apart from being FIV+, he is a fit and healthy boy who deserves a new forever home. We will consider homes out of our area as long as we can get someone to carry out a home visit on our behalf. If you feel you can offer Cougar a new home then please PM me.

Hi Sharon
Both Cougar and Fagin are still looking for homes. I noticed your lady was still looking but thought she may be too far away. If you PM me your number though I can ask one of our homing bods to give you a call and you can see what you think between you whether it is a possibility. :thanks:

Will keep fingers crossed that this might work out :)

Just to let you know that Cougar has gone to his new home this evening. Sharon I didn't get in touch with you after all as we had a couple of people wanting FIV cats at the same time as your lady so wanted to see what happened with those first as they were in our area but thanks so much for the offer.
Cougar has a lovely new home and his new mum fell in love with him as soon as she met him having seen his photo and feeling he was the one for her and her boyfriend. The good news is that we have a home visit due for Fagin, our other FIV boy so fingers crossed he may get a new home soon too.

Well done great result ;D

No problem at all. Actually my contact ended up taking a eldery senior puss cat from Sheppy CP who had been in care for over 1yr.. They hit it off immediately another happy ending.

Quick update Cougar is settling in well in his new home, he is now living in one of the posh flats on Newcastle Quayside so has some lovely views of the river and will have lots of stuff going on on the quayside to keep him amused as he watches from the window. He has certainly fallen on his paws ;D
