Oops - not sure if I am doing this right.
Did a post already but its not appeared??? Here is a photo of Merlin
Good that worked! Hi - I lost my gorgeous kitten Merlin. He was last seen fast asleep on Wed 3rd March. Thurs morning he had gone. He is tabby & white and not yet neutered or chipped... He is booked into the vets for this on the 9th March :scared:
He has never been gone more than half an hour. he is quite timid. This is SO unlike him. I can believe it...
:'( :'( :'(
He has a sister from the same litter - they are ALWAYS together. she is SO lost without him. It is heartbeaking. then again my heart is breaking too :(
Done about 400 leaflets and loads of posters. SO worried, Please help!!! :wow:
-
He is beautiful! :Luv2: Hope you have some news soon.

Hi, sorry to welcome you to Purrs under such sad circumstances. I don't know whether you've read this information but it's helped many people find their missing cats:

Hope you have good news very soon

is his sister calling for him?
if she cries quite loudly, it could be worth taking her in a carrier around the places he might be in, to see if he responds to her cries
-
Yes thats a good idea!!!! Thanks :)
-
any news yet? fingers crossed!!!

Hi
I went around with Cosmo in her basket tonight.....
...she was SILENT for the whole time! Bless her...Me and my hubby chatted loudly the whole time hoping Merlin might hear us. we didnt see a single cat?!
No other news at all. Had a false alarm yesterday where we ran out but it wasnt Merlin but today nothing
So worried - keep bursting into tears. he is only a baby :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Have three other cats - am getting paranoid they will disappear as well...
My cats are SO important to me. They are my family.Cant bear it
-
Hopefully he has just gone out looking for a lady cat...
Hope he is home soon x
-
Yes we are trying to think that but it is getting worse to keep positive as each day goes by...
Had a really upsetting phone call last night - thought it was some news - BUT it was the cats home we adopted them from calling to say they wanted to come and visit Merlin & Cosmo to check on them now they are 6 months and nake sure they are spayed / nuetered.... :( Imagine having to say only one is still here.... we have had them 3 months.
:'( :'( :'(
I feel TERRIBLE. The thing is they said get them both 'done' at 6 months. I called my vet which I have used for 10 years for my 2 other cats and they said they are busy - there is a THREE WEEK WAIT :censored: Any other time I have taken my cats in it has been within a week.
I wasnt very happy but thought I didnt have a lot of choice but to wait. Merlin has already been to the vets a few times with other things so I wanted them to know his medical history, etc.
If we had managed to get him done even one week earlier - he would have been neutered AND chipped... it may not have happened Feel SO
-
he could just as easily have gone missing if he had been neutered and chipped, so don't beat yourself up about that - there are always loads of 'if onlys' whenever something bad happens
and don't give up on him either - sometimes it takes a while for folk to realise that the cat hanging round their house is in fact lost - that is why re-leafleting after a week or so is so important
if you look on 'found' threads you will often see that people only start making enquiries about a cat weeks after they first spotted it
-
Thanks
I am def not giving up on him... just been out door knocking and leafletting again...
Printing off some more now - will have to get hubby to bring more paper & ink home!
-
Keep putting posters up, the more people help you look the better! It's worth putting them up in quite a big area too - one of my boys, Harvey, went walkabout a few years ago and he turned up much further away (12 miles) than we thought he could have gone. It was only by chance that a neighbour of the lady who had taken him in saw a poster when she went to a different village to get her hair cut. Good luck, and fingers crossed for you!

:) :) :) :) :) :)
sO HAPPY!!!!!!
Merlin was found yesterday.... we had lots of false alarms but a lady from the next street called saying she thought she had him ;D
I thought oh yeah - bet its not him... but ran around there as fast as I could anyway.... they had managed to entice him in with some food. It was him!!!!!! I cried my eyes out - they must have thought I was crazy
He was fine but very hungry. He has not stopped purring and cuddling us since home.
I think he was just lost - but surprised how close he was
There are some VERY nice people out there....
Thanks for all the support

Woo Hoo what wonderful news ... I'm so pleased he is back home safe and well.
It goes without saying .. plese keep him indoors until he has been chipped and neutered .... and if possible at least 2 or 3 weeks after the op so he has time to get all the hormones out of his systems
-
He is at the vets as we speak!!!!
All went well so picking him up later
