Hi I have just joined. I have a crazy household with 2 toddlers, a fish tank, 5 guinea pigs and my wonderful 4 cats. My cats are Bronte who is 5, female and is an all white shorthair; Dino is 4, male and is an all black shorthair and my 2 new arrivals are Huxley and Heidi. They are 18 months. Huxley is also a boy, is almost all black but has a white spot on his neck and on his tummy and Heidi is mainly black but has lots of big white splodges. When I work out how to do it I'll post some pictures.

thanks all for the warm welcome. I am going to try to add some photos here which I resized with Irfanview for the guinea pig forum I belong to (we have a Pets page there for pics of all your pets) but they are posted on it via photobucket and I am very new to forums so apologies in advance if all goes horribly wrong ;D

No the pictures have worked just fine, I have irfan thingy too ;D
I just love Bronte and the others are great too ;D cant see pics at moment but the newbie upstairs has enormous ears, is she a tortie?

I didn't ask what they are and am not sure about Heidi. I have never seen a cat marked as uniquely as she is. However, CPL did tell us that she and Huxley are brother and sister from the same litter. I always thought a Tortie had brown/orange in their markings - is that not right? Heidi is black and white.
Bronte is very photogenic. She is just my big white fluffball ;D

Torties have some ginger and from pic it looked like she did but maybe it was just the shadows? They dont have ti have brown and some are mostly white like mine and others are mostly brown ;D

All your furbabes are gorgeous but Heidi is amazing ... I don't think I have ever seen such unusual markings ... would love to see more pics of her :Luv: :Luv:

Gill your cat is beautiful and Sam here are a couple more photos of both Heidi and Huxley. My sister-in-law was trying to keep Heidi still long enough to get a photo ;D

I haven't done it on purpose but have ended up with all my cats being some combination of black and white. Especially Bronte and Dino - one is all black and the other all white - everyone calls them ying and yang ;D
I did have a beautiful tabby as well called Harry - he was Dino's brother but we lost him last year.
