Lovely pics. Those animals must have given so much comfort.

There was a story on Antiques Roadshow last night about a cat and a pilot

That's lovely, thanks for posting.

The cats in the first picture look just like my girls, I'm now convinced they're timelords and keep appearing throughout history (okay, okay, I've had a couple of glasses of wine!  :drink:)
You can't change the world by rescuing one cat, but for that one cat you are changing its world.

Lovely!! Giving the Services much needed purrs & loves during difficult times.....some beautiful Cats & Kittens  :Luv2: :Luv2:
Cats are independent, don't listen, don't come in when you call, stay out all night and when they're home they like to be left alone to sleep....Every quality that Women HATE in a Man, they LOVE in a Cat...

Cats have served in conflicts alongside men and women for thousands of years. Here are images of army cats, navy cats, and cats who were befriended by soldiers stationed far from home.

The pics are from WWI and WWII, with soldiers and sailors from various countries. The slideshow includes more recent images from this new century’s conflicts, alongside  vintage photos.

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.
