I love to make Amber think by having a load of the insides of toilet rolls taped together and hiding treats in them. Sometimes its one treat in each sometimes I put 2 in and miss others out. Takes her ages to eat treats though

Have you tried remote controlled mouse???

Mine arent interested in catnip much, ziggy is though, toffee gets the side effects :P

Cat fishing rod with treats on the end :P dangle it and do some cat agility. Cats love jumping!  :P

I think the thing to keep toys interesting is to take them away! By that I mean rotate them so they don't get bored, eg when I unpack a cat cube after it being out of action for a while they go mental for it whereas if it's there day after day they lose interest.

P.S  :welcome: to Purrs Chrisbitz - your cats are gorgeous  :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

I notice you got your Bengal Freya from Ashford RSPCA. If you're still from that area please keep your eyes peeled for a missing cat from that area. All info on this thread: http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,39151.msg688735.html

I love puzzle feeders. Search for catit design senses food maze or something like that.

That's great fun!

Or there's another one called Nina someoneorother's dog brick.

Ideas for new games?
« Reply #1 on: October 11, 2011, 12:56:09 PM »
Hello all,
I am looking for ideas of games I can play with my indoor cats.

We play red dot and we play da birdy and da-mousey, we play forts with the cushions and throws and when I change the sheets. We have tunnels, cubes, ping pong balls, catnip and valerian..... lots of stuff but is getting a bit repetitive and we have totally run out of ideas for new games

My two can't grasp the principles of peekaboo or hide and seek for some reason so no joy there, it just seems to upset and confuse them!

What games do you play with your cats?

Jo
