Hi,
I'm Merv & I currently lodge with my cat Daisy, she's 3 & I've had her just over a month after my old cat Orbit sadly passed away in September after a long illness.Daisy came from the ASSISI Animal Sancturary outside Newtownards in N.Ireland.
Orbit was diagnosed with Liver & heart failier in Janurary when he suddenly started putting on weight which turned out to be excess fluid.I miss him terribly but, getting Daisy helped me to get over him in a big way.
Orbit's buried in his blanket in a wood box in the garden in what wil be a flower plot next spring.
This is Orbit:

Thanks for looking,
Merv

Hi Merv :welcome: to Purrs,
Another "overseas" member (I just noticed a new member from Belgium). I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Orbit ... he was a lovely looking lad but pleased to Daisy helped you through the grieving and has settled into your life. She's a very striking looking girl isn't she (a bit like a fresian cow  .... that's a compliment bythe way).
Looking forward to getting to know you and Daisy.

Thanks everyone,
Orbit was a great cat & I've had him since a kitten. My ex-gf got this kitten that we thought was a girl, anyway one night the kitten tried to paw a baked bean off her plate & she lost it! She threw the plate & the cat accross the room, the kitten hit the floor with & collapsed. >:(
So I scooped her up & ran to the vets down the street. When I got home,we had a big bust up &,to cut a long story short,I threw her out that night & I kept the kittenthat turned out to be a boy & I called Orbit because of the way he sprung up into the air when startled! :evillaugh:
That was about years ago when I was made redundent from the RAF where I had done 12 years. >:(
As most of my family including my parents are gone,it's just me,Daisy & Susan (the current GF) Whenever I go away with the TA & Sue goes to stay with her parents,Orbit & now Daisy go into 'The Windmill Cat Hotel' which is 3 miles away.Bit more expensive than your ordinary cattery but sooo much worth it! :wow:
Regards,
Merv
