Our boy Bear went missing from near Greens Farm Lane, Billericay after Friday 22nd February 2013.
He is a 2 year old short haired tabby & white male cat, and was wearing an orange collar with phone number and post code. He should be noticeable because he has a lopsided right ear. He is neutered and microchipped.
I was admitted to hospital on the Friday following which Bear went missing, and have just been released back home. I currently an suffering from mobility problems due to the long stay in hospital, and I am now suffering from acute renal failure and cancer. My partner has organised the delivery of 2500 leaflets, covering south of the railway line in Billericay, east of the High Street and South Green, but unfortunately there have been no positive sightings since Bear disappeared.
We are missing Baby Bear dreadfully, and I need him back so much :Luv:
He could be anywhere now :scared:
If anyone thinks they have seen him or found him then please get in touch.

Sorry to hear you're going through such a terrible time Sylvia
Have you had a look here to see if there's anything you haven't yet tried http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.0.html
Have everything crossed that Bear is found safe and well  With his ear being so distinctive at least that will help you confirm any future sightings

Sorry to read this Sylvia. The last thing you needed was for a beloved pet to go walkabout. :(
I'll start searching the internet sites today for Bear and see if a fresh pair of eyes helps. Take care.

Hi, this seems like a huge longshot, but a cat looking very similar to Bear has shown up at my workplace, in Billericay.
I've attached some photos. He's very friendly but a little skittish so photos aren't the best.
I'm at work all night so feel free to message me or reply here.

I wonder if he/she's lost or abandoned?

:welcome: to Purrs Pax, good on you for looking out for this little one
I don't think it can be Bear as the ear doesn't look the same on your found cat :shy:
Do you think you might be able to get him/her to a vet during the day to check for a microchip (free of charge)? There's also lots of good tips here for found cats http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,32200.0.html

definitely not Bear, who has no white on his face

As soon as I posted the photos and compared, I realised the nose is different too. Sorry for getting the OP's hopes up.
I have another night shift tomorrow so will try and bring a pet carrier in with me. In the meantime, he's being well fed and has shelter.
Thanks for the tips.
