I always do - suggest that they look at a rescue

I actually email people on those kind of sites and try to get them onto these forums so that they can look at gettng a rescue cat or kitten..

Have you perhaps tried emailing them ?

How awful, I have never seen these sites, in fact did not know they existed. Are there no contact details on the main site page. Perhaps you could then send mail and ask if on compassionate grounds such adverts could be removed. Also perhaps you could ring the RSPCA inspectorate 0870 5555 999 and ask if they too could make a plea.

I regularly check out the free ad sites - I know i know. i've now noticed on one that there are literally hundreds of 'wanted' postings in the cat section. Things such as 'Kitten wanted as christmas present for the kids' It makes my blood boil!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where were these people over summer when the rescues around UK were inundated with kittens????? To make it worse unscrupulous breeders now have dsh kittens on for over £100 boasting that they'll be ready 'in time for christmas'

Why can nothing be done to stop these things? Guaranteed 50% at least will end up in a rescue by new year - it is soooo sad. Surely there is some way to make those 'in charge' aware of what is going on? I always email the wanted postings and direct them to rescues (not in the run up to christmas!) that way at least some sort of check will be done of them before they're allowed a kitty but for all those who ignore me - what is there to do??
