What wonderful news .... all kitties in resuces deserve a forever home but after what they've been through these two deserve it more than most.  Great that they are going to gether and I'm sure they will soon forget the scary time at the side of the motorway.

Well done everyone involved in helping them and fingers crossed they live long happy lives with their new family  :Luv2:

I am pleased to report that Chrissy and Rea have now had their first vaccinations and health check and have been reserved for their forever home.  Just have to do the homecheck this week, (when I can fit it in with everything else!!) and then they should be away this weekend.

Despite their poor start in life, they are gorgeous gregarious little kittens and I am so glad I have found a home for them together.

Gosh I can't believe people are capable of such acts.
I mean really - if they can invest the time in driving onto the motorway and leaving the poor babies there - why not just take them to a shelter, where the kittens would be well looked after.
It makes me sick to my stomach to think people are doing this kind of thing to poor innocent little animals.

Sorry for the delay in piccies, took some with my camera and now can't find the lead to connect it to the computer, typically I used the camera with the different lead to normal ones.  Will take some more piccies tonight with my other camera and will try to upload them.

Sorry for the delay in replying, been rushing round to see if I could track down Jellytot's babies and had to collect another two kittens which are now ensconced in the spare room.

Chrissie and Rea are doing really well.  Rea's ears were really gunked up with ear mites so I am treating them both for that and they look a bit ropey now with stick fur all around their heads.

They have coped remarkably well and are very playful and happy kittens.

I have taken a piccie and will try to find time to post it later.

Julie thinks it may have been a hoax call. I will find out tomorrow as we have our annual summer cream tea.

I also saw something really annoying and hate myself for being so weak. I was waiting in the car for OHs train to arrive tonight. There were 4 tracky type teenagers hanging outside the station. A ginger cat came acroos the road past my car as sat by the bridge wanting to cross. One of the kids chased it and instead of going over the railway bridge, it ran through the railings and along the platform. When OHs train came, he asked if I shouted at them - I said I hadn't as the cat had run away so was safe and I was a bit scared as there was nobody else around.

Just had an email from Sharon. Someone walkng their dog on our local downs saw a black bag in the pond. Inside was a cat with a collar. It had been weighted down with stones   :'( Poor baby - what a horrible way to die. I would love to do the same to whoever did this disgusting act  >:(

OMG that poor poor kitty.

Poor babies ... thank god they were found and now safe with you Lesley.  Fingers crossed they aren't too traumatised ... one consolation is they had each other to comfort them.

Hopefully the evil git that did this ends up in a plastic bag on the side of the motorway  >:(

It makes me feel sick. When I was about 10, I was walking along the sewer path with my brother and we saw a black bag. We looked inside and there was a dead puppy with blood coming out of its nose & mouth  :'( - it has always haunted me.

I have to say, whenever I see bin-liners at the side of the road, my first thought is 'has an animal been dumped?'

How are the two little ones faring today? :scared:
