Oh my! As a newbie to this forum I had not seen this thread before and when I opened it and saw the first photo I thought the poor kitty in the photo was surely dead. I'm so glad that Noah has been saved and now has a safe happy home to live in. Way to go Noah! You're one very special little man. :Luv2:

The photos are absolutely shocking aren't they, I can only look through squinted eyes even now! As for Noah's new home, he really has landed on his paws (gently) but we are still waiting for pics (hint, hint :poke: :poke:  :evillaugh:)

Am not surprised he doesn't want to go out Firefox.  Probably worried he'd not be able to get back in to his fab new forever home - he's done that and been there.  Those paws are staying firmly under your table, and in your flat.  :Luv:

Big Fish is an apt tag for Noah.  ;) :)

HAPPY RESCUE WEEK FOR NOAH!!!  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

It was a year ago this week that Noah came to stay with us at Adel CP - it seems longer than that!

 to Noah and Firefox !

So strange to read though this thread, it almost doesn't seem like the same cat as Noah is so happy and healthy. Must have been awful for him as a stray, as he is nervous of strangers and does love his home comforts. Still showing no inclination to escape the flat, think he just likes being a big fish in a small pond! I did know it was a year ago he was rescued, and he has had new toys from Purrs shop to celebrate.
:'( My beautiful Noah rescued 13/02/09, adopted 11/10/09, taken 11/02/11 :'( You deserved so much more.

I need to thank Noah and his story for giving me a massive street cred boost last week.   :)

I happened to be in a strange vet and needed to go to visit a cat in their surgery pens. As we walked through to the back, a pud was laying on an examination table having some treatment done. His little foops were just like Noah's.  :( I said to the vet "Ooh! Plasmacell Pododermatitis... I haven't seen that for ages". Vet's jaw dropped and said "Are you sure you're not actually in the profession?"

Naughty, aren't I?

I'm glad little Noah is getting better - the poor baby has been through so much. All the bad stuff is behind him now and he can be pampered from now on  :Luv2:

Oh no , poor little newbies.   :'(  Very sad for the little one who didn't make it.      "Come on" to the little one hanging on in there.

Lovely news about Noah though.  So hope this little guy gets the care and love he so fiercely needs, as it sounds like he'll make someone a fantastic companion soon.  Always a good sign when they get playful.  ;D  :yesss:

Shame about the piccies, but just glad to hear he's doing so well.   :)  :Luv2:

Sorry for the delay in updates!!!!!!!

We had a horrific rescue at the weekend - 5 adults, 7 kittens (one has died and the other is barely hanging on in there) all un-neutered, living in inches of poo and wee, flies, the lot...

They're currently at the vets and are OK, but a bit on the wild side!

OK, so Noah is doing really well and is ready for a foster space. We have a fosterer ready, but she's just lost her own cat so we want to take it slowly. He's put on LOTS of weight and still doesn't quite understand that food will now be regular and not sporadic scraps! Georgina has taken some pics but can't work out how to download them! Hopefully when he goes to his fosterer we can have new pics. He's described as a 'canny lad' at the vets and seems very bright at predicting when food is coming and he's learning to play!

He's finished his steroid injections and has now got enough weight to have his op (he may actually have had this by now) to remove the excess skin from his paws. He can now stand fully instead of using his knees to get around and they've stopped oozing!

Hey!

Noah is getting on good - he no longer has to kneel to eat his food and can support his own weight. His paws are healing and not oozing any more so we're just waiting for him to put on some more weight so he can have an operation to take off the excess skin. He'll be in the vets for another 2 weeks we reckon.

He does just eat and sleep at the moment and I don't think we've got a true sense of who this little one really is, but i'm sure his personality will come through once he's feeling better!

All good news - slow progress, but good news! I've asked for more pics but obviously it can be hard at the vets!
