Beanie lead me in the right direction with ya email addt so i sent it with the extra t. Did ya get it? It's a long read but some might help??

Have ya tried Feliway plug in too?? Have used that whenever had new babes to be slave to but it not always work for some. Worth a try though. It's gives off a smell that cats give off when they are calm.

Ya did right with slowly introducing them sometimes it takes longer than we hope and if not worked 1st time ya can go back to start again. Sometimes, the two just will never get on but will tollerate each other in time. Def try the rescue remedy, yes it is mean to calm.

There is some great advice on Wizz web site

Hi,
No, i have never tried any kind of resuce remedy. How is it supposed to help? is it to calm them down or something? Maybe i will try that then, if it has helped others.
At the begining, we kept them separate for about three weeks, and i would do things like rub the babys smell on my older cat, adn put the cusion she sleeps on by where he sleeps so that he could get used to her smell. Then started gradually introducing them together in small amounts of time.He seamesd to calm down a bit as time went by. Gradually we just increased this time. But since we have tried to leave them together all the time, it just doesnt work.
About the email, sorry, have just realised that ive missed a letter out on my profile, its Littlcm1@aston.ac.uk  I think i put Litl Instead of Littl. Sorry, so if you still want to email me that should be the right address!
Thanks for all your help. I just hope that its taking a bit longer then usual and that eventually it will be ok. Really dont want to have to keep them appart.

Hiya How long dod ya keep them separate for in the begining? I had a very simular prob with my two and Wizz help me go back to the begining and now they are fantasic together. It is really hard i know and so upsetting seeing them fight and not get on . I really feel for you.

I will try and send you the tips we had from Wizz (behaviour specialist on CC) and hope things get better for you.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you are having problems with your guys.Have you tried rescue remedy at all? It's herbal and doesn't hurt the cats in any way and can be taken by humans too.It worked for me.You just put a couple of drops on the cats ears or in their water.Full instructions will come with the bottle though.

HELP!
« Reply #1 on: December 09, 2006, 23:26:46 PM »
 :(
hey all,
Bit upset at the mo. Got a bit of a problem. Posted about a month ago about the familiar old problem of my cats not getting along. i have an 8 yr old tabby male, and recently got a baby female kitten. Ive followed all the steps of introducing cats slowly, and weve had her for three months now. AT first, my boy mo was so mad, and wouldnt even com home or eat. There was a slight improvement, in that he would hit her and hiss at her if she went up to him, but seamed to tollerate her a bit more. He started coming home more and being ok as long as she didnt come up to him. Everyone said that this was normal, and that things would get better, but they havent. I havent separated them today, and as im sitting here writting this all i can hear is them fighting, well, all i can hear is my boy growling and hissing. He keeps going for her. Though he doesnt seam to hurt her, or else i dont think shed keep going back for more!
I thought that by now all this would have stopped, but it doesnt seam like its going to. everyone else i know thats introduced a new cat has had problems at first but then things have turned out ok.
I guess what im trying to say is that should i give up hope that they will ever be able to live together? I love them both to bits, but dont want to make my boy unhappy.
What does everyone thinK?
Thanks for any advice, sorry if ive rambled on a bit, im just at my wits end now as to what to do.
