Title: Staywell cat flap sticking
Post by: Helena on January 21, 2016, 14:08:35 PM
Hi,

I've got a problem: Bubz' cat flap is sticking and I'm baffled as to how to potentially remove the current flap in order to put a new one in. It was so well put in the double brick thickness wall that there aren't any loose points to start.

Is there any way to de-hair the so-called insulation strip that goes the length of the flap?

* I'm saying 'I' but on a physical level I'd have to get someone else to do it for me as I am unable to do these things myself.

if it isn't a microchip type there should just be a thin strip of magnet that can be removed

Where would i find it, Dawn? The flap is the kind that is operated with the magnet thingy but I've always had the thing that stops any cat from coming in taped down because Bubz struggled with the weight when she came home with me 8 years ago last week.

Usually the fur can just be pulled off
