In fact ALL of us at Canterbury CP would like to go sick. Pretty please???? :thanks:
-
Why are you ill? :shify:
-
Just heard we lost a 3 week old kitten today. Died at the vets. We were all feeling numb due to so many sad cases we just can't help as it was... and now this!
It has been the week from hell. :'(
Definitely need to throw a sicky. :tired:
-
Its definately been terrible on Purrs and 7 cats have passed to the Bridge in 2 days :'(

Julie
I had a cry yesterday for all these poor kitties and their families :'(
-
I do seriously wonder how people in rescue get to recharge their batteries after such losses and send this Julie in the hope that it helps a little :cuddle:
-
Thanks Guys.
A bit of sleep helps. :evillaugh: Pudding (Angela) and I were just chatting and saying it's just like a full time job but with no pay. :tired: The difference is that we don't get to switch everything off and go home.... because we are already home and can't escape!
If it is this bad though with 5-6 of us manning the ropes and we are this tired and fed up, I do wonder what the one man bands go through. :(
The brighter news is that Angela has just sent some pics of some cats we did manage to get in this week. They were an eviction case and there's 3 of them, all had flea allergies and although their owner really loved them all she'd done is plaster them with Bob Martins. :innocent: One of them, Stan, is a Kitler! :wow: I've asked Angela if she'll put the pics on here. :sneaky:

I think we need a compulsory "Duvet Day" , maybe monthly, when all involved with Rescue are allowed to take to their beds or chairs with their furries ....

Julie sending you some   just think positive for every one lost hundreds are saved.

Between you, you rescues on Purrs have saved literally thousands and, at the very least, relieve the suffering of those you cannot save.
I just turned my calendar over to Lily's picture this morning...

Just thought i would share with you the lovely Cnancer now called Alfie. Who we took on a few months back due to a broken pelvis and a owner who wouldnt pay the bill and wanted him PTS...Anyhow our lovely vets got them to sign him over and he was send to our new fosterer Ros who patched him up and he went to his new home as soon as he was healed.. I LOVE This photo.. and it does make it all worth while.. But the endless calls this week with such stupid people really gets to you when you do this for a length of time. Its endless.. and so tiriing when you have to explain to them that actually moving tomorrow and expecting us to help isnt going to happen...
People are so THICK!! sometimes.
Christine, Lilly was inour care a few yrs back and was brought in with a cancerous lump nr her eye that we got removed and results showed it had not spread and was unlikely to. She lives nr Faversham and i remember the home as the lady was very concerned that Lilly may fall in their swimming pool... so she spead literally hundreds getting a cover for it..!!

I love it too and, as it's one of those that was sent to me, I've suggested it to the designer for a prominent place in the 2010 calendar ;D
