The percentage protein is affected by the water content - because it's a wet food with about 80% water, that affects the protein percentage (and why you can't compare that 11% with what it says on a bag of dry food).  The 50% meat isn't all protein because meat contains water.

well safe to say i wont buy that pouches again..he sniffed , he licked, he left  :tired:  The bowl wasnt looked at again, LOL i think he was rather disgusted.
also on the back i think it says meat content 11% or something.

It's min 50% Tuna, but 11% protein. I don't quite understand the difference  :-:

Ps: Yes I have a pouch in front of me

The other one would have been Feline Fayre Lynn. Only Asda and Wilkinsons have the right to sell Essentials, there is also Cherish, and only 2 shops have the right to sell those!! No idea why HiLife decided to do that!! Mine are fussy with the Essentials, and they have changed the Tuna Petit Pate (or I have dodgy tins!!), but it went down well which is all that matters.

just checked and as said before me it was from asda and is hi life essentials and on back says its a complete diet.
there was a different brand next to these ones right enough, cant recall brand but i remember seeing the 60% meat content on the front and thinking i must try and remember to tells purrs about it
I didnt take that one as i had a "feel" and it felt more lumpy than the hilife.

Ive no idea, will have to check later mark (they're still in boot of my car) I'm not too fussed either way as codys main diet is dried complete but he expects his petit pate tin every night even tho he rarely finishes it all  :tired:

tuna in jelly i think.
anyone any experience of them ??

I have only bought them as they didnt have any petit pate tins so thought this might be next best thing, its quite squishy and doesnt feel like it has lumps as such so we'll see if his lordship eats them

got 4 for a £1 so good deal.

Are they complementary ones?
I get confused with the different hi-life foods
