I ordered the cat one in the end. I thought I read that Sulphate is more usable by the body. Maybe I will have to look for a different one then  :tired:

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Glucosamine dosing - OK to give dog version?
« Reply #1 on: April 20, 2009, 09:52:44 AM »
I usually buy Alice the cat & small dog size Noractive sachets which contain 100mg of Glucosamine + 100mg of Chondroitin. The next size up sachets for medium dogs contain 300mg of each but the pack is only about 90p more. I was thinking of buying the larger pack and splitting a sachet over 3 days as it works out a lot cheaper (spending a bomb ATM on cat stuff) any thoughts? - I'm sure it is exactly the same thing and I don't think dosing has to be 100% spot on. I wouldn't do it with meds though  :scared:

Also, can anyone conform that Glucosamine Sulphate s better than HCl?

Thanks
