Title: The "Axemen" Cometh - "Letterbox" Animation - The Director's Cut

I started last night on a small project and decided to do a "Litterbox" (http://www.eyeenvision.com/ (http://www.eyeenvision.com/)) copy-cat :) or tribute band "Letterbox". Here's a few seconds without music.

Post by: LeighK on June 08, 2008, 13:52:23 PM: Hiya, the hi-hats are the cymbals going up and down to the right of the drum kit asn you look at it.

I added the cats' miaows which drove them nuts whilst I was editing it :) , there's miaows from Alfie Frankie and Suzie, meal time is a good time recording them as Alfie makes one hell of a racket :) I also added some cats for the audience and a new light effect.

That's the final version for the time being although I might do some more work on it at a later date.

Introducing "Letterbox"

Featuring legendary axeman, "Slow Paw" Alfie on lead guitar and vocals, "Fat Boy" Frankie on bass guitar and backing vocals and "Sultry Smokin'" Suzie on drums. Lightshow and Flash Animation by the Mogfather.

In addition to the earlier additions of cats with the lighters and the cymbal to the right of Suzie as you look at her moves as she hits it the newest additions are the pulsating speaker cabs to the right and left of stage and the "F.I.V Cats Rock" banner, a nice play on words, I also tidied up Frankie a little :) :)

Thanks, it has been a fun little project. Yesterday I animated the audience and turned them into proper headbangers as well as adding the balloon and other stuff:)

Today I have added a very intricate long shot of the band with the stage and two projection screens as well as other stuff which has taken me quite a while.

The three facts have been there a while but I wanted the animation to include references to F.I.V cats as it is another medium to get over the message that they are just as "normal" and fun as any other cat.

Hope you enjoy the new stuff.

It just gets better and better. I particularly liked the 'To the South' sign, the champagne and the tapping paw ;)

One thing though - I am surprised by the absence of groupies...

I do see the simularity of playing styles there Bazsmum, caught Alfie playing "Air guitar" yesterday evening after his rehersal time had ended :)

The band will be doing a press and photo call later today, I'll try and get you their autographs. I am off to the vets shortly to get a BIG bag of those "Sensitivity" biscuits for Suzie (and Frankie if he sneaks into the bedroom like a ninja and eats them from under her nose) and then I'll be "Yomping" my way back with my large rucksack.

I'm gouing out with friends this afternoon/evening to have an early Birthday celebration for next Friday, they are taking me on a magical mystery tour and won't tell me where we're going :).

I'm so pleases to hear thhat you and your Maxy Boy are well hun.

Thanks, I really wanted to put Oli in, as you know, it's hard for me to look at pictures of him without feelinh sad and I had archived all his pictures onto another hard disk drive and had to search for them but, as I mentioned, I think he would have loved to be included and "imortalised" in video. I made a few changes and additions this morning to the arriving at the airport and arriving at the concert venue scenes, the last of which you have to be very quick to spot. :)

Yes the rain and the rain hat at the airport are new as are the moving windscreen wipers on the limo. If you look very quickly, the beginning of the limo pulling up there are cats queuing outside the venue. I'm also uploading a new version in a few minutes with a completely new scene, oh and it's got Blip in it :).

Additional .... I just uploaded the new movie version containing the new scene.

There's even more new stuff this morning in the new scene, there's now a cat flap/cat in the Staff Toilet door, a working cat drinking fountain, I added my friend's lovely little Torty cat "Tilly" to the cat queue, a new cat's head screensaver to the second VDU, a Letterbox Tour T.Shirt poster and wording to the "No Hissing" sign. :)

Oh and I added Suzie's rain hat and a catnip stash to the inside the limo scene :)

Yes, getting a bit lazy BUT I made up for it by putting Ellie's "Muppet" in as a "official" photographer in one of the stage scenes and your Bonnie now takes a picture from the audience in one of the crowd scenes, how she smuggled that camera in I'll never know, naughty Bonnie taking un-official photos :).

I don't think Frankie's very health and safety minded he's just fat and lazy :)

I played with Alfie last night with the laser toy, as you know I'm a bit concerned about eyes so I was very very careful but he went "potty" for it, it has four different shapes, a mouse, a butterfly, a smiley face and a dot and he was chasing them up and down the stairs and across the walls miaowing VERY loudly, he just loved it but, as I said, I'm worried about the eyes so I'll be very very careful. I just knew that he'd love it, kept coming back for more and more.

You spotted the white cat running accross the stage. LOL Chris "loo seats", they are actually bar stools but a while back when I was working on it I noticed the strong resemblence to loos ;D ;D.

Look out for the pigeon, the "Gattirazzi" banner and Muppet has a new long lense and tripod for the camera.

I've added a new scene for the animation called "under construction" and the catfish to the underwater scene ;D ;D

BTW: the cat sitting on the JCB driving seat in the background is my beloved Bridge-Babe "Oli" who makes a few cameo appearances in the animation, like the chauffer of the limo :)
