I would like to introduce you all to Amy who came to us last week. She was brought to our attention by Lynds (forum member) after builders on her estate mentioned a cat that had been living under a metal storage container for the last 4 months.
The builders had been round all estates in the area to try to find an owner but to no avail and as the cat was beginning to look more and more bedraggled happened on mentioning it to someone, luckily Lynds! :) who was straight on the phone to us and we immediately made space for the little one.
She is slowly starting to clean herself up, hydration levels are improving and her system is slowly adjusting to a good food regime after being fed in tit bits of food for the last few weeks which has resulted in bouts of diahorrea over the last few days. She also has a big skinned area on her chin which we are guessing is from squeezing herself out from under the container which is starting to heal up nicely.
Guesstimating that she is approx 7/8 years old and we're sure she will be a wee stunner once she is feeling much much better.
Here are a couple of pics of the little one.

She looks so pleased with herself and now away from all that bad weather I'm sure she will come on in leaps and bounds under your care :Luv2:

-
she is such a sweetie, when she arrived she wolfed down her food, spotted the nice comfy bed and lay down on it, straight to sleep purring her wee heart out.... it was so lovely to see but also sad
I have someone who may be interested in adopting her when she is ready so fingers crossed that works out as they are coming out to see her later today.
-
Well done MKR and Lynds. :)
Wonderful contented expression! She really does look like the cat who got the cream. :evillaugh:

What a cutie!!

Blimey, she did well to survive in the artic blasts lately as well. In the bottom piccie she really does look like she is grateful for her full tummy and warm bed. Pity more humans could not show that kind of appreciation when we help them out as well!
I am sure she will do well under your stirling care, give her an extra head rub from me, she deserves it. :Luv:
-
I'm just glad she's ok. I'm now on standby to rescue any other needy moggies. I wish I could take her, but after having to rehome Nobo, my confidence in taking another cat is shattered.
Sarah and I have discussed me taking a kitty and perhaps Izzy will ok.
Anyway, I miss Amy so please give her a big hug from me.

Any news on the prospective home for Amy?
-
Awwww bless her. She is lovely :Luv:
That second pic just made me cry, her little face :Luv2:

well I have good news in that the lady who was out to see Amy tonight is really keen to take on Amy, when she is ready.
We always send them away with an information pack and ask them to get in touch within 24 hours if they still wish to go ahead so fingers crossed that this lady will still go ahead... which I think she will to be honest :Luv2: Little Amy wrapped her and her friends round her little paw! :Luv2:
All being well then we will go ahead and all being well get things organised and in place for the lady's return from holiday towards the end of the month and by then Amy should be much better and able to go to her new home :) We hope to have Amy in tomorrow for a vet check up and to see about getting her teeth cleaned up before homing too. so fingers crossed all goes ok for this little one :wish:
-
What wonderful news .... well done Amy on working your magic. Fingers crossed you will be in your new home soon xxxx
-
Aww, I am glad she is safe with a home lined up.

She's doing really well hun. Eating well and got herself into a wee routine and loving having lots of hugs and kisses :Luv2:
She will be going to her new home around the 23rd / 24th of Feb which I am sure she will be glad of and will love having someone all to herself. Her dental went really well the other day and needed nothing more than a scale and polish! :Luv2:
-
not so good news re Amy folks... we've been given the run around and the end result is that Amy will no longer be going to the home we thought she was.
SO, she is back up for adoption .... fingers are crossed that all goes well THIS time round! :tired:
-
Here are her pics. I'm so mad that this has happened and I'll kill to have her. Well ok, not literally kill, but you get what I mean.
Here's a link to her pics http://gallery.me.com/lyndseyt/100131 (http://gallery.me.com/lyndseyt/100131)

At least you know that she is safe with you and I'm sure it won't be long before she has the right home to call her own. :Luv2:
-
So glad you have her safe and sound with you. Shame about her new forever home falling through. Good luck with rehoming her - she is such a cutie :Luv2:
-
Oh dear .. poor Amy. I'm sure she will be able to convince another family that she will be the perrrfect addition very soon. She is such a cutie
-
she is and has the purrfect nature too... I'm sure her new forever home is just round the corner and it just wasn't meant to be! :)
-
That's a shame but like you say it wasn't meant to be, I'm sure she'll won't be waiting long :Luv:
-

So sad to hear this but, we rescues seem to be given the run around quite alot don't we. :'(
However, I am sure the purrfect home for her is just around the corner :Luv2:
-
I think anyone who meets her will be smitten with her fantastic nature ( :wish: ) and hopefully she won't have to put up with us much longer and she can get that bit more freedom she craves. She went live for adoption on our website last night so fingers are crossed.
-
What a pity
-
Finger crossed for Amy, she has the sweetest face. :Luv: I am sure she will find a good home very soon.
-
Someone is going t be very lucky - She is lovely and I love her :Luv2:
-
well I have a few appointments over the next few days so here's hoping that one of them is just right up Amy's street :Luv2:
-
Did Amy get settled into her new home tonight?
Hope it went well.
xx
-
it went really well. She settled in quickly and made herself at home on her new daddy's knee... much to the jealousy of her new mummy! :)
I think its fair to say that she had her new daddy wrapped round her little paws in about 2 seconds flat! lol but she is going to be spoilt rotten and have a wonderful home.
-
Awwww great news
