Title: Newbie saying hello....
Post by: Harry on April 19, 2007, 19:19:41 PM
Hello everyone, looks like a great forum you have here.  I've joined up as i'd like some opinions on the scratches/grazes that have started appearing on my cats head - but i'll post that in the relevant section.

For now i'd just like to say hi - and Geoffrey says meow!

:welcome: Harry. We're going to need more pictures of Geoffrey, he is far to cute, even with a few holey holes on his head  ;)

thanks for the very warm welcomes, happy to oblige with some more pics.  the kitten was Alfie, we only had him for 4 months before he died.  very unlucky little kitten, he had some sort of mass in his stomach and was put to sleep on the operating table, the vet thought it was for the best as his health was diminishing very quickly.  he was only 8 months old aswell. although they never tested what the mass was in his stomach they think it was either a tumour or something related to FIP.  whatever it was it had spread from his stomach to his liver and even onto his kidneys.  he was neutered in january and probably started getting poorly about four weeks later, his character just changed.  it was a few weeks later by the time i took him to the vet for a checkup as i thought it was all normal, but he was in a bad way.  sorry to go on about this, but it's only just been a month since we had him put down and he's still missed - worse thing is that he was so young and such an adorable little kitten.

Hi Harry  :welcome:

Crumbs I thought my Sam had been catnapped when I opened up your thread and saw Geoffrey

Poor Alfie, sorry to read about the unfortunate loss of your lovely kitty  :( I am sure he was pampered and loved to bits for the time you had his company.

It is a good forum, plenty of friendly people here.  Look forward to more posts and pics soon!
