well this is indeed idiot proof, I just placed my first order without a hitch all easy to use Thanks Tan. Only problem was the screen went huge at payment time so I almost had to remove my glasses

I think you have to register to use the shop and you just put your forum password as the pw. Tan said that this shop runs on different software to the forum so the only link between the two is the logo at the bottom or the mini forum in the addy at top.

So effectively its a different site and you have to register, no reason why you cant use same info as for forum though.

Hi T Very good question

We had a choice when we 1st looked at shop software to either have a froum shop incorporated for members only or to have a sep website from the forum. We decided to have an sep shop from the forum so we can offer the shop products to all peeps who are not members. One it means we hopefully will pull more members in and sell more products to raise more funds. Cause it's separate but still linked to forum by the shop button and the shop linked back to forum, it has it's own database and therefore to have an account on the shop, you need a sep user name. You can use the same one and password as you use for the forum if you like.

You dont need to open an account to buy anything from the shop, but if you do you have a record of your orders etc.

I am just a bit confused,why do I get a request for me to log in to shop to purchase something? and if I ask for password its going to be yet another to remember so why cant I just order as forum member? sorry but my brain is in poor state of repair today

The shop is ace! I'll be spending there soon. I notice there're loads of fab personalised things (I particularly love the pawprint cast thingy).

Do you do them? I was thinking of having some Christmas cards done with cats on from the rescue to sell to volunteers and friends to raise a bob or two. Or could I order that sort of thing from the shop? That way our rescue benefits and so do others! Might be a bit late in the day now though to plan these things......ho hum....

Yeap cause we made it an outside website and the shop button at the top is purely a link to it. It has a diff database so although connected to the forum via shop button and on the shop back to forum easily via hitting the "forum" link on the small navigation bar under the top cat logo or by clicking on the forum banner at the bottom of every page

I really hope that people see that we sell the Da Birdy cause Da Birdy cause is just starting in UK

and this will have different items for sale With Purrs Logo, plain or personalised exciting stuff. All profits going to our cat rescues on Purrs in turn every so often

All orders and payments can be made through the shop so if ya can hang on for a bit, you can get ordering
