Done it....sort of  :(  Finally hemmed him in again and scooped him into basket. Managed to get over half of the pipette somewhere around the back of his neck and then had to let the poor little butter go. He looked like the demons of hell had got him  :scared:.  Would post a banana but too stressed out  :tired:

Am now in middle of disinfecting litter trays.  Cat slave and no mistake.....

Saw lady last night MM. Went to give her a milbemax pill but she had already "found some worming pills in cupboard" and had given to her cat.   I did comment that shop bought stuff not terribly effective but I get the impression that she is not open to suggestion of better treatment.  I do find it very sad that people get so defensive about treatment for their animals.

Just managed to get Billy into basket. Seems OH didn't fully understand what I meant by keep pressure on lid while I try to squeeze my hand in top of basket with opened frontline pippette.  Billy escaped, mauling me in the process.  Plaster now applied.  Wonder how long frontline lasts when pippette opened?  :(

Theres a product called capster that are tablets and will kill fleas but is short acting eg 24hrs, i would guess theres a bob martin version or similar  :tired:

It can take several treatments to shift visitors and will need routine treatment after to prevent reinfection due to the way the cysty butter can live in muscle  :sick:

Spoke to a lady tonight who has an "elderly" male cat withworms probably (distended tummy and eating like a horse only signs of anything wrong).  She told me she uses flea treatment tablets. She got a bit defensive when I offered her a pippette of Frontline and a Milbemax pill.  Not sure I've come across any flea treatments in tablet form.  Are there any good ones?  She's a super lady and I know she has current money and family probs so would like to help.  I assume 2 worming treatments may be required if it's bad?

It's all my fault as Billy not feral (take my hat off to you Liz).  He is a complete well behaved wuzz at vets. It's embarassing.  He does however have a very strong sense for when his ma is uptight (e.g. knowing I'm chilled atm he came up for a back scratch despite me grabbing him twice today).  A couple of drinks usually helps a great deal so will have to force myself to imbibe a little tonight  ;)  I calm down when I have him in the basket and can squeeze one hand in through the top to apply frontline. No chance of parting the fur of course but can't have everything  ;D

Neither is ours so they order it in for us

We like it as we have had issues with Frontline and Spoton with balding cats where the stuff went on

The dogs get Program tablets once a month

We have no flea issues and it certainly works on ticks!

We Profender Ace and Blue when we can get near them as the vet has yet to see these darling nasty feral boys! :shocked:

Program injection twice a year takes all the pain away from us owners and then its the vets fault we just have to get ours in to baskets or Crush cages for these visits to those nice folks at our ver - we have 8 going on Saturday at 09.20am

Good luck hun, once they know what you have they are soon to shift aren;t they  :evillaugh:   Sylvester only needed to hear the crack of the Frontline drop-on being opened and he was no where to be found very quickley!

Well I've done 5 out 6 of them with no bother at all so only Billy Whiz to go  :scared: . Unfortunately this involves getting him in top opening cat basket and I failed miserably this morning so he is on guard. Wish me luck  ;)
