How old is your cat? My oldest does that and it's a sign of senility.

Yes, cats do dream, so we can reason they can have good and bad ones.  I guess you comfort the little one when s/he wakes up?  What is his/her name?

They definately have dreams .... yesterday Rossi was sound asleep on my knee when she suddenly started twitching and twittering then all the hairs down her back rose up and her tail all fluffed up like a loo brush  :rofl:  I have no idea what she was dreaming about but whatever it was it was obviously bigger and scarier than her!

I have never had a cat miaow in  it's sleep but twittering / chirruping is quite normal with my lot.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

hi can cats have bad dreams ?
one of my cats keeps waking up crying she lays on the bed meowing and meowing for about ten minutes
anyone ever expierenced this before ?
