Title: Please remember
Post by: Teresa Pawcats on October 14, 2011, 12:16:40 PM
Please remember that black,black/white moggies feel hunger, pain, lonliness and very much unwanted at present.
Please consider offering one of the needy ones a home.
Please contact your local animal rescue.

Having had both, I can recommend them.

Black and whites (Bloomsburys, as I like to call them) are big softies, and blacks are, well, just a bit special (who wouldn't want a House Panther?)

Gorgeous, the lot of 'em!  :Luv2:

Blimey, just looked at this thread for the first time in ages and it is rather monopolised by pedigrees isn't it.   No wonder the black and black and whites moggies are struggling to find homes.

I have to say that for affection, fun and quirky good looks it would be hard to beat my black and white rescue cats.  And their all-black predecessor Korky was the handsomest, gentlest, most loyal boy in the whole wide world.

From a family of seven furbies, 6 of whom are B&Ws, can I add my voice to the throng of monochrome supporters here?

I choose blacks or black/whites because they always seem to get on so much better with one another.  :Luv:

Dunno why, but after 30 years of ownership and (a bit shaky) fostering the B&Ws always seem to be calmer, more loving and easier to handle.

Here's Theo pretending to have only one ear.   :Luv2:

Our visitor cat is a little black and white. Nervous, but not even slightly aggressive - and loves our three. Both Carrie and Jack (black and white and black respectively) were wonderful personalities. They were my introduction into having felines share my own home and I couldn't have asked for better cats to do the job. :Luv:

My favourite in the whole world are my black cats and we have 11 Tuxedo cats here at the Clan and they come in short and longhaired, domestic and feral and we love them all - please don't forget the colour makes them who they are and ours come in a rainbow of colours, domestic, feral and pedigree and we love them all

If I was closer I would be on a major handbag napping mission

Our latest (and cutest) monochrome streetboy, Tufty.

An absolute cuddlebum  :Luv: now behaves like he has lived here all his life (erm, since May actually) and gets on with all the other BWs and Chubby our feral (ish) strypoid.

here, here!!! I am the proud owner of a longhaired all black bag of grumpiness and dribbly purrs!!  :Luv:

His Brother was white, black tail, ears & spots. Such an amazing character!!  :Luv2:

I will be looking for a companian for my black flea-bag since his brother passed and could not overlook a black or tuxedo!! Only requirement is that it will need to be a young cat (but not a kitten), full of cheeky confidence - as i think mine will find it hard welcoming an older cat. But we shall see  ;D

that pic of Sly da Sly is exactly like the cheeky dancing character he puts after his name!!  :evillaugh:
What a cutie he is!!

What cuties ALL these cats are, photos are amazing!!  :Luv2: :Luv2: i want to steal them alllll  :evillaugh:

Only downside to my black fluffball is that he now blends in with my living room decor and i often dont see him sleeping on my rug until i've nearly done some sort of fancy triple salco backflip trying not to tread on him

Oscar came in this morning with very muddy fur!  Am not sure how long he had been out  I got up late so I think maybe he went out as it got late.for his breakfast   I am glad he goes out as this is a good place for cats but don't want him getting into trouble  It was a very wet night and we have snow forecast for tonight  I think I will take him up to bed with me
Brrrrrrrrrrrr

As on my previous post about considering a companian for my Nuggie  ;D and as we're promoting the gorgeousness of Monochromes & Panthers......
(for those who havent met him yet  :evillaugh: )
:cheer: :cheer:**INTRODUCING**  :cheer: :cheer:

"PEANUT DA POIROT"
Rather than be overlooked at the Rescue, he performed a stunning solo audition with the OH (head judge) and...well he got through to the Live Finals and won the Vote!

So Support B&W and Blacks....(they'll pick you regardless  :evillaugh: ) AND Always Support Rescues  ;D

So heres Mammies Little Posh Boy....
Photo 1: The Tash of a Distinguished Gent, "Bow Tie" on his White Bib and white Gloves
Photo 2: Relaxing with his white "shirt" hanging out of his suit

 he 'wooed' his victim (OH) and he has made himself quite at home!! only been here 3 weeks!

He sleeps on his back, legs everywhere, snores & has wind. Its like having a 2nd OH
Nuggie is still not overly impressed   :shify: but hes getting over himself lol

Such a friendly, overly affectionate snuggle-bum, I'll always adopt from Rescues  ;D

Yes it's really surprising, I always thought black cat especially were really popular as I know a couple of people who really like them. I always wanted a black cat when I was a child

We had a beautiful black and white when I was young he had a lovely mask just like zorro. I think black and whites are very striking.

A friend of mine works at the greyhound rescue and it's the same there. It's really difficult to find homes for the black and white ones.
