OoooH, I keep checking this thread to see if kits are on way. I'm so concerned for mum and babies. They should get a hurry on. Mum needs a good, gentle talking to. She can't keep the kits to herself forever!  :no no:

Good Luck on Monday to you both. I hope the little one's fine, and the vet was just out with his estimate of how long she had left!

Oh, God, I really am panicking now. I'll take her to the vet first thing on Monday. She's not looking at all unwell, and I haven't noticed any kind of discharge, or smell coming from her

Karen think you need to take her back to see vet as soon as vet is open, dont panic too much at this stage as not all vets are good at ascertaining pregnancy. If Jasmine starts to produce a smelly discharge or shows signs of being unwell you will need to get an urgent appointment. Please dont try examining her yourself as it is best done by vet. If you have felt kitten moving then it is alive.

Oh she's expecting alright, if you feel her tummy you can feel them plain as day. Occasionally you can feel one kinda sticking out of her side. Last night I felt one moving around when I touched it.
My "cat expert" of a sister in law says they've probably died inside her and she's yet to miscarry them. I'm doing my best to ignore her, and besides I know at least one of them is alive.

I'm sorry, I hadn't gotten any reply notifications, and I had no news to post about.
Still no kittens, she hasn't really gotten any bigger in the last week or so, but still her happy little self.
If there's nothing by Monday I'm going back to the vets. It's been almost 5 weeks since he said she had a week to go, surely he couldn't be that far out?

Btw, I dreamt last night that she had the kittens in the kitchen sink, 2 ginger tabbys, 2 grey tabbys and a black and white one.

My number is widely published, it in in the freebie paper each week, except the last 2 weeks in December and it is in the Yellow pages and of course on posters in our shop and all the vets know it.

I was agreeing with you. It's ridiculous she let it get to that stage before she called.

And you get calls for kittens seasonally

We get hundreds of calls a month for kittens from late November until about May, but it is at that time we don't have so many in as so many people want kittens that the owners of cats with kittens can find their own 'good homes', well most think they have. The rest of the year we are inundated with pregnant cats and litters of kittens but receive very few call for kittens I really have known a full month were we have not had one single call for a kitten.

was the owner being unable to find your number until this situation arose.

Please don't mention the K word today.....

Sorry, Ela. Kinda what the threads about. ;D

I had a call from someone who has a heavily pregnant cat age 2, she can't keep it as she can't be doing with kittens. The sad thing is  by the time they are 8 weeks old we will we will receive no calls for  kittens,  often we don't receive a call for a kitten in a month at that time, yet just now we are receiving between 300 & 400 calls a month . Also how come she found my phone number now when she doesn't want the cat but didn't phone me when the cat needed to be spayed.

Can't be doing with the kittens? Then why wasn't her cat spayed? Honestly, some people just don't think things through. And you get calls for kittens seasonally? How odd. Even odder, as you pointed out, was the owner being unable to find your number until this situation arose.

It's not daft! A couple of people have asked if I'm getting the boiling water and towels ready. I'm half thinking of getting her a good hot curry to see if it'll shift her

Just gave her cuddles from Gill and shecat. She purred a thank you  :Luv:

It does look like shes near her time.  So give her a cuddle from me too  I always have this thing about boiling water, when in the old films the husband was sent to boil it.  Do you think Jasmines partner will be going off to get some?

Daft comment, just keep her calm and dont panic yourself, it will be ok :Luv:

I should had added in my post that whenever people asked me what it was like, I just used to say Oh! I don't know I was asleep, I just forgot to tell the about the 12 hours or so before I was hit on the head with a hammer to make me sleep.

I always say if it was that bad nobody would have a second.

Well Miss Jasmine is looking thoroughly fed up. She hasn't bothered much with anything today. She's eating ok, but just looks miserable. I wish there was something I could do for her  :(

Thank you, Jo and billy and baggy's dad.

The vet said 9 days ago that they should be here within a week, a fortnight maximum. I can't wait for it all to be over her. She was laying in bed with me last night and you could see one poking out of her side. But there've been no more signs, she's been very lazy all day today, just sleeping on her favourite chair.
