Im so glad i made the decision not to involve the RSPCA when i got Mo as i was so scared they may have pts her too the state she was in. thankfully the vet agreed with me and although we were/are both angry at the woman who neglected Mo, i felt it best to leave the abuse issue and just concentrate on getting Mo better.
time and time again you hear storys like this, its heartbreaking :(

I went off them a few years ago. I was on holiday and there were some feral kittens hanging around the camp site. The holiday makers had been feeding them over the summer but it was the last week of the season so I was worried what would happen to them. I phoned the RSPCA and they said they could come and put them down  :censored: 

I've also got a friend who worked for them and she hasn't got anything good to say about them.

I hate this. They are not God, although they play God. RSPCA do not have the right to take these animals' lives. They don't even try other rescues to find places for them, just jab, jab, jab, problem solved.

I used to support the RSPCA until I found out about this. I now direct my financial support to animal welfare that does what it says - keeps the welfare of the animal as it's priority, not lining the pockets of it's CEO.

True. A very misleading statement....when I was on placement at our local branch years ago I wasn't allowed to talk to people about the PTS issue when asked. (Clearly, I disregarded that rule. People have a right to know the reality.)

Rest Easy Little One. Sorry your rescuers weren't someone else.

I don't trust the RSPCA/SSPCA one little bit. They are against what they stand for and from my experience don't ever seem to sort anything out. Hence the fact if I see I cat that needs help/rescued I now do it myself.  What a shame for that little kitty, hope the other 2 find good homes. All the best x

I think this is shocking as well as desperately sad.  If anything happened to me they won't get anywhere near Oscar   -  thanks to the Cinnamon Trust

Poor tortie persian put to sleep 12 years old , all he needed was a dematt and dental -was otherwise in perfect health .
The social services were called out for 3 cats and apparently owner had died, other wasnt in a good state and he was going berserk when they put his cat to sleep .
The others were saved thanks to Pauline going and picking them up yesterday ( she only knew that day -otherwise they were coming back and putting the other two to sleep )
The only thing wrong was they needed dentals and dematting  :censored: :censored: :censored: RSPCA  :censored: :censored:

One was a chinny and one a tabby moggy -they are off to a foster tomorrow .

Thank god for people like Pauline and other rescuers .
