Wow! Lexy got her collar off!!! I can imagine the panic on your face as you ran to check her stitches!

Glad she has left them alone, they must be healing nicely this time with no swelling or infection to annoy her...Glad she is getting some much needed mum time!  :Luv2:

 :thanks: ladies.

Rosella, historically Lexy has been good with stitches, just the last time she wasn't and I suspect that as there was infection she bothered it. I have to pop down  the shops in a min so collar has gone back on.. much to her distress.  She does keep trying to lick the collar  :evillaugh:

This all sounds very positive Ruth and fingers and toes crossed she continues to progress  :wish:  Just wondered to meself how long it's been since op and realised it's already 4 days.  Time is just flying by.

I imagine you are very glad to have today at home with her and am sure you will keep an eagle eye on her whilst no collar on.  It's always such a difficult one to call.  When Dinah was spayed, she was very good about stitches but Lexy has a stitch removing history doesn't she?  :scared:

Very frustrating that I can't help in a more positive way but can only send that lovely girl and you too the best quick healing vibes I can muster and a  :cuddle:

Well, we had a quiet day it seems and a quiet night, until Madam removed her buster collar with some force!  :tired:  However, stitches left alone.

I'm working at home today and have Lexy laying next to me, collarless, so she can stop fretting. She'll have a nice quiet day I think.

Leg still a bit wobbly but that is expected. She's putting weight down on it and it doesn't appear unstable, if just tender. No swelling, no antibiotics, a little xanax at night only to keep her resting while I sleep, and we're on the road to recovery me thinks. :wish:

(not that I'm superstitious or anything!)

Let's hope when I get home madam has had a nice quiet day with Animal Planet and hasn't trashed her pen again.

Aunty T. Don't encourage her!  ;) :evillaugh:

Ah well yes, I am sure it was grumbling! Paddy has to know.

As for madam this morning she gave me a good cuddle (she was glad to be out!) but annoyed when she had to go back in. Clean up was interesting. No water (all over the floor of the crate (papered of course)), litter tray used (poop getting normal now!), and litter all over her bed.  :tired:

Ate a hearty meal and then off to sleep again. She's so cute.

 :Luv2: :Luv2:

Aunty T! Hope you had a good sleep!! x

He he, the vet had a good laugh when I told him I was glad to see the "care" lable on Lexy's pen at the vets had been upgraded to "extreme care"  :evillaugh: She only lets one nurse handle her and purrs for Africa.

I'm collecting Lexy tonight. Her tummy has settled somewhat, no more runny but still soft and labs came back negative for any baddies.

Lexy is putting weight on her leg and its pretty stable right now. She has to live with blasted buster collar for the next 10 days or so and then she can get stitches out. As regards how's she's feeling, se first paragraph  :evillaugh: :Luv2: :Luv2:

I love my little baby!!!!
