Title: Upset tummy

Drum seems to have an upset tummy, she did a very messy poo earlier and I had to clean her back legs - which is odd because normally she's fastidious to the point of obsession.

She's had nothing out of the ordinary to eat, just her usual Felix for breakfast. Her sister Bass is fine.

She was fine last night, even played for a while, but today she's definitely quieter than normal, although she doesn't seem to be in pain or discomfort. But the fact that after I'd cleaned her back legs she didn't start washing herself immediately is odd for her.

Is there anything I can give her? Would some boiled chicken help?

I don't want to take her to the vets unless she's obviously ill as she's a total stress pot!

It maybe a liitle bug and boiled chicken could help to clam her tummy down.

Some plain chicken for a day or two will hopefully do the trick, you can also add rice to it to bulk it out but mine picked around the rice when I tried mixing them!

My vet usually suggests light foods like chicken, fish, scrambled egg or rice.

Maybe withhold food for one day, just giving water. As she seems low in herself, I'd consider a vet visit.

Tummy bugs can lead to serious dehydration, and it sounds like she has a high temperature. Antibio's might help.

She drank a fair amount of water yesterday and had a few biscuits (both she and her sister refused to eat the freshly cooked chicken we offered them yesterday!  :censored:)

She had a long snooze in the afternoon and was back to her old self later by the evening. Phew!

That's good to hear!  :) I tend to keep a few pouches of Royal Canin sensitivity or Kattovit sensitive tins (Zooplus) in nowadays as it works wonders in sorting out runny bums and saves faffing around with chicken. Speaking of which are Drum n Bass definitely cats? Refusing freshly cooked chicken  :Crazy:

could be worth keeping a couple of tins of Porta 21 Sensitive Chicken and Rice in the cupboard for upset tums

I know! Annoyingly, they love Tesco Value cooked chicken pieces, which have all sorts of rubbish in them!

They really don't like any sort of good quality catfood either. They're just junkies!
