Title: Hypochondriac cat Mum!
Post by: Tiggy's Mum on January 19, 2007, 23:17:05 PM
I noticed Tiggy's nose looked a funny colour when she wandered past me tonight, I went after her and thinking she had sneezed and had a runny nose went to wipe it away.  It didn't move so I got a damp tissue and tried to wipe it but it still didn't budge.  It was then that I got into a full blown panic thinking that she had a growth on her nose, it definitely wasn't there earlier so I thought it must be one of the fast growing types.

I picked her up and cradled her on my knee and studied the 'growth' close up, I then tried to wipe it away again with my thumb and judging by what was left on my thumb it was a crust of soggy damp fullers earth cat litter stuck to her nose  Only glad I didn't post a thread in the Health and Behaviour section before I discovered what it was  :-[

that made me larf once I had read poor old tigger was ok.
Peanut had a lump on the tip of his ear once and because he has white skin and fur we were all concerned it was a skin cancer . We went to the vet who gave us a lotion to put on it and told us to monitor it for a while which we did.
One day my sister came to visit and Peanut jumped on her lap and before either of us could say anything my sister said " whats this on his ear ?"  and flicked the lump  off with her fingernail ..!...... ;D

To say there was a shocked silence would be an understatement  :innocent: :evillaugh:

Give Tiggy a big hug from me and then do what I am doing and consume a rather large glass of something
