Hi, apologies for my absence on Purrs. The rescue I volunteer with is looking for some new pens. We have had some previously from penthouse pets which aren't the easiest to clean and not the best size. They have also had some from R J Leigh / the animal House company. If anyone knows of any other good companies with similar prices that would be great. Approximately £500 to house two cats if possible.

Have you looked on freecycle? I often see pens/crates advertised on there, it would only cost you collection or delivery, usually they are large dog crates. Friday Ad often have them in their free section too.

My neighbour likes Amazon Marketplace, we found some ex-breeding cattery pens for free when the charity I then volunteered for moved premises.

Emma, there are a few on Gumtree in Northumberland and our area. Not sure if the sizes will suit but check them out xxx

:thanks:
We were wanting something a lot more sturdy than the collapsible crates as they will be a more permanent thing.
I'll have a look on Amazon and gumtree though.
Thank you!

Emma - apologies - I was looking at large dog crates (of which there are about 3 for sale around £30 to £40) but I think you're looking more for the condo type of pen. Shoulda read the post properly before I responded. :-[

Have you thought about getting a local bespoke shed supplier to give you a quote. A friend of my mum’s fostered rescues and she had a couple of pens built by a local shed maker. I’ve had sheds made to bespoke sizes (to fit awkward spaces/avoid drain covers) and they were reasonable price-wise.
I found this one but I’m sure there are others . . . http://www.hcwhiteltd.co.uk/ (http://www.hcwhiteltd.co.uk/)

Good suggestion (and nice find, Frances ;D)

Frances is awfully good, level headed etc. :) Her suggestions are always good.
