Astrophe and Zoonie like nothing better than to sit and watch the wildlife in the garden

I've seen a spotted woodpecker in our garden about 3 times in the 26 years we have lived here! Mind you, I don't feed them anymore, now that we have Alfie who is so predatory.

Glad you like them. That was the first time I had ever seen a Jay and they are beautiful . I have 3 rookeries within 200 yards of my home, so maybe 500plus rooks and Jackdaws and it gets very noisy when they are coming home in the evening.  ;D

Fab photos! What camera do you use?

I've been told by our new neighbours that we have foxes, badgers and deer around this area (there are farms over to the right of our new house) - but I haven't seen any of them yet. Most of my wildlife photography is done at the zoo!

Nikon DSLR with a 300mm lens and lots of patience  :'( Unfortunately I no longer have the camera. When I had to stop work due to health problems I had money problems so it and a lot of other stuff had to go. I really miss it, phonr cameras aren't up to the job.
I could never photograph the Fox in the garden as it only comes at about 3am but I have seen it and cubs. Beautiful  ;D

Sorry to hear the camera had to go Hollycat. You sure captured some great shots of wildlife with it.
Julie.
