Tell me about it! My boyfriend just came in from a busy day switching on Christmas lights and started helping himself!

He did pay half for the ingredients though so I'll let him off  :Luv2:

fab stuff!  great idea..  just not a good cook!  Its amazing how well home baking goes down isn't it??????

Home baking? Pah! Ready to roll pastry and a jar of mincemeat with a little bit of port stirred in! I've been lovingly making biscuits for about 3 hours this afty (now they really are home-baked), the mince pies took about 10 mins and are just in the oven now making the house smell lovely  ;D !

Cool what a fab idea.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

This is probably in the wrong place but I want people to see it! I've found a way of making a little Christmas "kitty" for the Nook Kittizens.

All I did was get mincemeat, a bit of port, ready to roll pastry, an oven and mini muffin tray, cellophane/ribbon and a well-crafted email.

I now have (since yeaterday) about £21 worth of orders for my "unique giftwrapped treats, laced with port" with plenty more orders promised.

I'm hoping that a couple of hours in the kitchen on a sunday afternoon will raise over £100 between now and Christmas. Everyone at work is willing to pay £1.50 for six mini-pies all packaged up with ribbon for that elusive Aunt or Granny.

I'm also making Christmas spiced cookies and shortbread but really wanted to highlight the ease of the mince pies.

Feel free to poach my idea, I'd love to see more rescues making money with such a simple idea. I can do recipes and tips too if anyone wants advice!  ;D
