Socks was a three legged cat that stayed not far from my mam and dad's, mam had a habit of giving him treats and because of this he was a frequent visitor :Luv: I knew he had been missing for a few weeks and had went down to search for him myself as I knew the area
Sadly, Socks was found yesterday :'( as far as I can gather, it was natural causes, He was over 17
Here is the only photo I took of him at my Mam's house

Oh Stuart. Poor Socks. Rest in peace, baby.

What a pretty cat.
It's very sad, but to die of natural causes in our twilight years at 17 isn't too bad.

Awww, Rest in Peace lovely boy.

A great looking boy and sad that he didnt go to the Bridge somewhere where he was loved.
RIP Socks play hard on the Bridge

He did well to reach 17 on only three legs. He looked a lovely cat.

aye, Socks was lovely, I suppose with the way it happened, He must have known he was ill and decided to be alone? :(

Maybe Stuart, it is said that animals will often do that.
Julie, my Chivvy made 19 years, 17 of those on 3 legs. It's 4 years and 9 months since he went to the bridge and, despite loving the 2 I have now, I still miss him so much :'(

Chivvy must have been so well loved and looked after to reach 19. They say time heals. But not a broken heart.
