Last saw her about 9pm on Thursday night. Went to call her in for a late dinner about 9.45pm and she didn't come in. Posters are up, saw the lady who brought her back last time and she last saw her on Thursday too.
I'm really really hoping she's gone and got herself locked in someone's shed who is away for the long weekend. I miss her terribly, it's so quiet without her chirruping and purring away all day long. This is just not like her, last time she got spooked but otherwise she's a complete homebody who checks in all the time and in fact spends most of her time asleep on my bed.
I bought 4 packets of Webbox on Friday, they're her favourites and I'm trying to prompt the universe into sending her back :'(
It's just one thing after another at the moment, I want to get off the world and take a breather for a bit :(
-
hope she comes back, its such a worry when its so out of character.
-
Hoping she's just enjoying the nice weather and comes back very soon. I know you really don't need this on top of everything else.Get yourself home Little Miss and stop worrying your meowmy xx
-
It's just one thing after another at the moment, I want to get off the world and take a breather for a bit :(
I know the feeling  Hope she comes sauntering back in soon
-
Sending 'come home' vibes your way
-
Shona I am so sorry - she does like a bit of a wander doesn't she? Let's hope she's worrying you over nothing.
Mary
-
Oh no! Keep us posted! Hope she will be back soon x
-
Shona I am so sorry - she does like a bit of a wander doesn't she? Let's hope she's worrying you over nothing.
Mary
I think this is a little bit of a popular misconception given the way she came to me and an incident about a month ago where she was chased by a tom and two lovely ladies took her in overnight.
She's actually a huge homebody who never stays away more than an hour. She does like to go visiting people and make friends with anyone willing but she never stays for long and checks in with me all the time. She spends the majority of her days asleep on my bed or the back of the sofa and never ever misses meal so I know something has happened, I'm just hoping it's that she's been locked in a shed by someone who is away for the long weekend :(
-
Any sign yet Shona? Sorry just saw your last post
Our Ruby hasn't come in this am which is completely out of character. It's so upsetting. Hope Little Miss realises there are treats in store and hurries back soon
-
Any sign yet? Hopefully she's just got herself shut in somewhere - it's definitely the weather for people to be in their sheds for gardening equipment etc. so it's very possible.
-
She wasn't back this morning when I checked. :(
-
Still not back :(
-
Sorry to hear Little Miss is missing, hope she returns safe and well soon
-
Come on, Little Miss, show yourself!!!
Where are you???? Come home!!!!!!!!!
Maybe she walked into somebody's house, and they kept her in....
-
Please Little Miss - get yourself home
-
come on little miss, hurry up and get home x
-
Keep checking in to see if there is any news.
Come on Little Miss - home now please.
-
Yes I keep checking too!
-
No news I'm afraid guys :(
-
:( so sorry hun .... was hoping for some good news by now.
-
Horrible isn't it Shona :(
-
Oh drat! I feel for you all xx
-
Horrible isn't it Shona :(
It's just awful, posters all down the street and not one call of even a potential sighting :( I just want to know where she is :'(
-
So sorry Shona. Just a thought, I know you said she wasn't with the lady that had her last time but how about putting some posters through HER neighbours doors in case she went that way again and someone thinks they are doing good by keeping her in?
Mary
-
So sorry Shona. Just a thought, I know you said she wasn't with the lady that had her last time but how about putting some posters through HER neighbours doors in case she went that way again and someone thinks they are doing good by keeping her in?
Mary
She goes that way all the time apparently and is known down there by all accounts these days! I have put a poster up down by there too. I have to get posters at the library and pay for them and as funds are so limited printing off anymore is a bit much on my budget :(
-
Shona if you want to email me the poster or some short notes to put through doors or both I'll print some off for you on my printer and post them to you - anything to help get her back.
Mary
-
Was just about to suggest roping in someone with a printer. Little Miss, you better get yourself home, pronto lady!
-
If you want me to do print posters for you, I can. Work has a lovely printer :naughty:
-
Any sign of little Miss hun? So so worrying when they go off on their "trips"
Am thinking of you and Rosella and all who have little ones awol.

-
Come home Little Miss!
-
What are you like Little Miss....putting your humans throu all this worry.
Get your tail home....NOW!
-
Well, I've got up to a voicemail from someone saying they may have seen but it's just at the back of my flat so I'm not sure it was her they saw or her little black and white friend, need to wait till a more reasonable hour to ring them back and I'll go out with some treats to rattle in a little bit.
If it was her it would be extremely odd.
-
Fingers crossed it was her
-
she really is a little miss isn't she
-
She's certainly keeping you on your toes
Fingers crossed it was her
-
Hoping for good news on little Miss today
-
I just went down to where she was supposed to have been seen and I think I know it can't have been her. It's just too close, not even 100m from my flat. I did make friends with a ginger tabby who usually runs away from me, amazing what a tub of Temptations can do!
I just want her back now :(
-
Keeping everything crossed for her imminent and safe return Shona
-
We are sending get yourself home vibes from all of us here at the Clan for Little Miss
-
Come on Little Miss, that's long enough now
Do you think she might be making herselves comfortable in other people's homes Shona? Like when you took her in as she was spending so much time hanging round but unbeknown to you she had a home.
-
She does visit other people, i know she does but she never stays long. As I said, she's totally different with me than she was before. When she used to visit me she'd stay for hours on end but now she only ever goes out for about an hour and by all account she just has a nosy round people's houses, gets a fuss then is on her way again. She never misses a meal ever and spends 90% of her day asleep on my bed. I can't leave the flat without her trying to follow me and she escorts me to the local corner shop even coming in with me. She's my shadow and I just don't think she would take up residence somewhere else, she has it too good here!
There have also been no sightings (other than that one last night but I really do think it was a different cat now) since Thursday night and she's infamous round here, if she'd been seen I would know. I have lovely neighbours who I chat to quite regularly and a couple of ladies at the further reaches of LM's territory who are also looking out for her.
I've just phoned the local vet and their hospital and they've not had any cats handed in over the weekend. Local (most well known) rescue hasn't got her either. CP are shut on Tuesdays.
I'm really hoping that's a good sign and she is shut in somewhere.
-
Still no sign? C'mon Little Miss - get yourself home.
-
Still nothing :( 5 days now :'(
-
hope she turns up soon  x
-
oh no i thought she would have gone home by now :'( come on little miss
-
Hope you have some good news soon, sending you lots of good luck vibes
-
Sounds like she is deliberately being kept indoors. Or else she has got herself locked in somewhere. My Tosca once went missing for 2 whole weeks before she walked in again. And when I was a child, the neighbours'cat came home after having been locked in somewhere for well over a month.
So don't give up hope, cats are survivors, trust her to come home, and keep talking to her in your mind, tell her to come home.
Have you ever considered contacting an animal communicator? I know it sounds weird, and I don't really believe in it, myself, but for the fact that someone who lived 150 miles away from me told me that Tosca was alive and locked in a dark place, when I already believed her to be dead. She also told me she smelled something rotting, a bit like leftover water from a vase of wilted flowers, and Tosca was injured on the left side of her head.
When Tosca came home, 4 or 5 days later, she had a festering, stinking wound under her left armpit, stretching to the left side of her chest and neck. Near enough to the description to make me rethink my disbelief.....
Somehow, she really COULD 'feel' Tosca.
-
I'm actually a spiritualist, although not "practising" at the moment, so not dismissive of animal communicators. However, they cost money and there are no guarantees of their abilities without extensive recommendations.
I do "talk" to her and whoever is up there looking out for me to send her home to me.
I can't get over what a lovely little community I live in, my upstairs neighbours knocked on my window earlier for a chat to tell me he and the neighbours had been talking about Little Miss, theories about where she could be and when they could all remember seeing her last. It's really nice to think my neighbours really care about her as well and how well known she and I are. Something good to come out of something bad.
-
sending out some vibes for your little girl - do you have anyone who could help do some door knocking to widen the search area slightly?
-
Topping up the Come Home Little Miss vibes
-
C'mon Little Miss - get that little bum of yours home to where you are loved and missed.
Mary
-
Wonder if she has got herself locked in somewhere - shed, garage or even someone's house and they are away?
I helped a lady who adopted a cat from us that went missing (timid and shy girlie) we knocked on 100's and 100's of doors and searched gardens for over two weeks - widening and widening the search area. After 17 days she suddenly arrived home and it was obvious she had been locked in somewhere and had not been far away at all.
Do hope you get some good news soon or even better she gets herself home now
-
That's good that your neighbours are looking for her too. I really hope she turns up soon. You must be worried sick
-
My last cat Jones disappeared for ten days once, over the Christmas and New Year holidays - he turned up looking very thin and had obviously been shut in somewhere.
-
checking in to look for news...............
-
I'm something of an old veteran at cats going missing................
Childhood/teen cat, went missing for three months, turned up in a garden of an old family friend.
Housemates cat in London, went missing, put out flyers etc, got an email with ID pic, we thought he'd been in an RTA, walked through the door 9 days later ravenous but fine............
Chilli, went AWOL for 4 days when I first got Dave, friend coming to visit me, she knows him so pops out of the bushes to say hello right outside my flat!
Chilli, went AWOL again after again deciding she didn't like Dave (you wouldn't believe she actually grooms him occasionally now!) Turned up at the PDSA when a lady took her in for a check-up as she had adopted the "stray". Scanned and found to have an owner who was just round the corner!
Little Miss, went AWOL when previous owners recaptured her one evening and took her to her new flat after she moved in with me a couple of months previous. Posters up led to them calling me to let me know.
The there was the overnight incident a few weeks ago when she was chased by a tom and two ladies took her in after witnessing it. Turns out she goes down that way of her own accord anyway and would have found her way back of her own accord but nice ladies nonetheless.
And now this. It's a wonder, as Jackspratt said, I have any hair left but it does furnish me with endless optimism that they nearly always return :shy:
But sadly I have no news for you, no responses to my posters, no calls from vets and rescues and no Little Miss.
-
Hoping Little Miss gets her bum home soon.
-
No calls from vets or rescuers is positive, it means no dead or injured Little Miss scraped from the road....
But why doesn't she come home???
Found some holiday home with a slave who spoils her rotten???
Get back to your meowmy, on the double, naughty Little Miss
-
Jiskefet is right, no news is definitely good news
Keep up the posters and door knocking
-
Aw sorry she still aint home...you must be frantic with worry :(
Sending lots of home soon vibes!
-
I keep checking this thread like I keep checking the cat flap whenever one of mine stays out too long to my liking.....
C'mon, Little Miss-behaving, show yourself, for goodness sake!!!!!!!
-
I've had a little bit of a meltdown this evening, everything was due to come to a head anyway and then someone had a right old pop at me for a fairly innocuous comment and it just tipped me over the edge :(
I just wish she would come back, it would give me such a boost and I so need it :'(
-
I know just how you feel.
Your baby is missing......... :care:
-
Sending lots of come home wishes your way. This time of the year does seem to make our furbabies behave in uncharacteristic ways. Dillon used to disappear for a couple of days at a time when he was younger, but he's so nosey I reckon he was gettng locked in sheds/garages etc. The fact that it's been a long weekend could well mean people are away and Litle Miss has "visited" and got shut in. At least the weather has not been extreme. I too know that gut wrenching, unable to concentrate feeling. Come on home Little Miss I reckon your Meowmy could do with a decent night's sleep by now. x
-
Ok let's put this into context! Tonight Ella went out and disappeared for an hour and a half. Even in my old place Ella never went far, here she sits on the fence in the front or the back garden or pads around the garden and she is always in sight (Unlike Effie who used to go off who knows where!). Tonight she totally disappeared, i called out and nothing. I kept going out and calling her name, rattling biscuits and finally she sauntered up. I could barely breathe when she had gone and when she arrived I burst into tears and smothered her in cuddles.
So I think you are more than entitled to be having a meltdown! I thought of you when she came back cos I cannot imagine how you feel.
Sending you love xxxx
-
A few of these for you
Come on Little Miss - we need you home pronto.
-
It is so worrying hun and we all are with you worrying and sending out get ya bum home vibes to Little Miss.

-
So sorry to hear she's still not home :( :( Lots of  to you and sending lots of come home vibes to Little Miss.
-
I keep looking here and on FB , desperate to see she has come home. Keep strong , lets hope no news is good news
-
So it's now nearly exactly 1 week since I last saw Little Miss :(
Keep the vibes coming, she HAS to come home to me :'(
-
Hoping that if Little Miss has got herself locked in somewhere and people are away - they will be back soon and Little Miss will make her escape back to you
Lots of Come home Little Miss vibes from me
-
come home little miss we all miss you x
-
Little Miss please come home
-
Come on sweetheart  enough is enough.
So sorry there's still no sign Shona
-
I guess she will not turn up till Sunday.
Obviously, someone has left for a holiday on thursday or friday and locked her in, and they haven't returned yet.
So chances are, they will return on sunday.
-
Little Miss, PLEASE come home now, Sweetheart.
-
One would hope she'd meow her little lungs out and someone would hear her....
C'mon, Little Miss, if you cannot show yourself, make yourself heard, so someone can free you!!!!
-
Sending lots of come home vibes from here too
-
little miss do i need to send leonie in? she'll kick your butt if you don't go home to your meowmy- she's worried sick about you. we are all worried :(
-
I've had no internet for a few days and was hoping to come back on and read some positive news, still have everything crossed that she'll be home soon
-
Hoping for good news soon
-
So sorry there is still no news. Sending lots of 'come home' vibes.
-
Still not even so much as a text message of a sighting :( She has literally disappeared into thin air :'(
-
Shona just a thought have you checked with her previous owners, do you think they might have taken her in again? I really hope you hear some positive news soon
Andrea.
-
Yep, still in touch with previous owners, she's not there.
-
i don't know if you remember we cared for Mikey, a small black and white kitten for 3 weeks at the beginning of the year. he turned up in the snow and as we won't turn anyone away, he came in until we could find his owners or a new home. well we searched for his owners, put up posters etc but nothing. after the 3 weeks, we decided we would adopt him when we got a phone call out of the blue. turns out his family had been looking for him, but hadn't checked our road, just a few streets away or the local vets to see the posters. a family member went a out of town vet and saw the poster and phoned them. his family believed the worst as you probably are now. but the truth was he was in a warm cosy house with the best food and toys. he was in no danger at all, just waiting patiently for them to find him. and they did. after 3 weeks. i know this is the same for little miss- she is warm and happy and just waiting for you to find her again. we are thinking of you, but i know she'll be home soon x
-
awww I keep checking (Have also done some net checks to see if anyone has found her). How you coping sweetheart?
-
Just wanted to say there's a lot of us thinking of you and wishing Little Miss home, but I have put off posting as everytime I get an email update on this thread I'm desperate for some good news from you.
-
I know the feeling Liz from other threads I watch
I'm doing okay Si, I have a lot of default coping mechanisms and at the moment it is just getting on with things as much as possible as if nothing has changed (I even posted a tired absent minded status update on Facebook about petty Saturday morning dreams and didn't mention her). Every time the cat flap goes I ask who it is and 90% of the time it's Dave and so ask him has he not brought Little Miss home :shy:
I just want some news.
-
Still not even so much as a text message of a sighting :( She has literally disappeared into thin air :'(
That was the way it was with my Lilly went missing. No sight nor sound of her. In a way this gives me hope that she is sunning herself in someone elses garden with her paws firmly under the table.
It's heartbreaking not knowing.
Hoping she comes home soon.
-
No sightings probably means she is either locked in or being kept in....
Well, most of the holiday makers will be coming home tomorrow, so if she got herself locked in, she will be found by then.
-
Sorry so to hear there's no news yet :( Still sending come home vibes to Little Miss.
-
Come back soon Little Miss
-
Still no Little Miss?????
I had hoped she'd have turned up by now.
C'mon, Missy, it's time you got home!!!
-
There has been a possible sighting ;D I went down with the Temptations tub and shouted and rattled and spoke to a few people and some kids. Everyone has seen the posters which is great news.
The couple that sent me the message say they saw her on Friday but didn't realise she was missing until they saw the poster and put it all together this evening otherwise they would have grabbed her. So they are going to continue to keep an eye out for her and will definitely grab her should they see her again! They did say she is very friendly and lovely which sounds like her!
So I'm going to head back out again when it's dark and see if I can find her when it's quiet and there are no kids bouncing noisy balls about.
-
That sounds promising, hope it is her and she is back home soon.
-
fingers crossed!
-
hope it is her x
-
good luck!
-
Keeping everything crossed that it is her xxx
-
Hoping it is Little Miss - Good luck
-
That sounds very promising - fingers crossed it's her.
-
Right Little Miss, you have played this game long enough, now show yourself to meowmy when she comes looking for you!!!
-
I didn't find her. Fingers crossed this couple see her again and very soon.
-
is it far away from where you live? hopefully she will go back there again
-
Well, at least she has been seen, alive and well........
That is a relief!!!!
-
is it far away from where you live? hopefully she will go back there again
Not at all, literally a 3 minute walk and a tiny street away from her usual territory, I think she's just got spooked and disorientated or something. That's if it is her that was seen.
-
I think it was her, alright...
I had the same problem with Catweazle, once.
He had come just a little way outside his territory, even closer to home than some areas that were within his territory, and he dare not cross back into his familiar haunts again.
Completely spooked.
He even hid from me when I came looking for him. Fortunately, a dog flushed him out, so I grabbed him and carried him to familiar ground. He walked back home with me from there, but he was dead scared to cross that unfamiliar bit, even in my arms.
-
:crossed:
-
Shona if she is only a few minutes away from you, if you haven't done this already - get an old t.shirt ir something and rub it all over you and maybe even rub it on Dave and Chilli, cut it up and stuff pieces of it in bushes, cracked walls, gate posts, anything that is there and she could follow your scent back home.
Fingers crossed - God knows what the little devil is playng at  :Luv2:
Mary
-
Good idea Mary. Same principle I think, I have heard that emptying the contents of your hoover and putting "dirty" clothes on a washing line can attract a cat nervy back - helps spread the familar scents.
Think I saw those tips in Sam's Lost cat tips.
Good luck - so hoping that it is Little Miss and she is back home soon
-
Keeping everything crossed :crossed:
-
fingers crossed, isn't it funny how they end up lost so close to home
-
Most of the time they are just outside their territory and dare not cross the line where they got spooked.........
-
any luck yet Shona?
-
Every time I see a new post my heart lifts and hopes
-
Nothing, I went down a few more times to where she was supposed to have been seen but nothing and no more sightings :(
-
oh god, i am sure she'll turn up. come home little miss we miss you x
-
So sad she has not returned and no more sightings
-
Still not home! I feel for you i really do. :'(
Hope she comes home soon.
-
  Come on, Little Miss! Show yourself.
-
I keep looking, but daren't ask anymore.
If she shows up, there will be a post in bold capitals.....
Failing such a post, I keep watching this thread.....
hoping......
always hoping.....

-
:(
-
Still watching too, hoping for some good news soon
-
I have to say I agree with Jiskefet, I haven't posted on here but i check every day and look forward to good news
-
I wish I was updating this with good news but sadly Little Miss has been gone 3 weeks today, still no word from anywhere, she has literally just disappeared :'(
I've just had myself a little cry looking at her pictures and Dave is extremely depressed at the moment, I just don't know what to do as there's nothing I can do to make it better for us, we just miss her so much.
-

-
:(
-
I hope she has found another nice home and is being looked after by someone
-
I'm so sorry to hear there's still no sign of her :( :( Part of the torture is not knowing what's actually happened to her. :(
Don't give up hope though.
-
Sorry for what might be a stupid question but I take it you've been checking the Lost and Found websites?
-
Yep jezebel and the rescue sites in case they're not being vigilant about checking their lost records!
-
oh Shona hunni
-
There are so many people thinking of her and worrying about her Shona
-
Shona,
Im sorry i havent posted for a while.........the truth is i couldnt. I hope you have found Little Miss......and a darn red bum is forthcoming to!!
Pls let me know whats happened, i have worried constantly, infact thats why i havent wanted to look on this site, too upset :(
-
Me too, just daren't ask anymore.....
-
Utterly gutwrenching :(
-
She has not returned and there have been some developments I'm trying not to think about too much. Seems there's someone in the area with an air rifle and a penchant for using cats as target practice :(
I just have to hope that someone took a shine to her and took her home where she is utterly spoiled and not that she met the fate of another cat I found out about a couple of days ago :'(
-
omg no, she is on someones sofa hunnie I am sure
-
No way...
If she had been shot, she would have been found.
She is chipped, I presume, and anyway, you have notified all vets and rescue centres that she is missing, so if she had been found hurt or dead, you would most definitely have been informed.
-
I have to think that about Lilly - she also vanished without a sight or sound of her. It's like she never existed. I just keep the thought that she moved on and is happy and well in someone elses home rather than any other number of things that could have happened.
-
:'(
-
i'm sure she's stretched out on someone's sofa as i type with dreamies to munch on. they probably don't even realize she is missed. :'(
-
-
Was hoping the update was going to be a positive one :( Still clinging on to the old saying 'no news is good news'
