Title: Yarrah is great!!
Post by: Paws on February 01, 2007, 19:21:15 PM
We have two elderly cats who we adopted about a year ago. One had chronic stomach upsets and the other very bad skin/ ear allergies (the cats are not related to each other!)

Anyway, I fed the guy with the stomach problems prescription sensitivy food which helped (but didn't completely solve the problem) but the other cat refused to eat it and so I fed him whatever he would eat meaning nightmare supervised feeds until a friend suggested Yarrah. It is fab and has completely solved the tummy troubles. It has also meant that the allergies of the other cat are much less pronounced!

I don't know what is in normal cat food that upset them but cutting it out has helped two completely unrelated illnesses! Best of all, the cats love it and can at last be fed together!!! Am so glad I found it!

It's organic pet pet food Gill ... you can get it from Zooplus http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/canned_cat_food_pouches/yarrah

So pleased it hs help these oldies ... I have forwarded this thread to Marie .... maybe Yarrah could help poor little Maisy and her "itchy skin"

We still desperately need help to stop Maisy scratching and I think this would definitely be worth a try only problem is Maisy is really fussy about her food and I dont want to buy a tray if she wont eat it.  I tried our local sainsburys and they dont stock it.  Does anyone know of anywhere I could buy a pouch of this to try before ordering it on line.

Thanks.

Waitrose stock it but I have only ever seen cans. My two are very fussy but they love it. If you can't find it I can send you a pouch!

Zooplus do it but im not sure about singley and then theres postage    >:(

Have you looked into a BARF diet? It works really well for dogs with skin issues.
Hope you can sort her out, the itching must drive her nuts!

Oh maybe you could email the company about her and see if they will send you a sample   :wow:

Yarrah sounds like good stuff.  I think I've seen it in the supermarket but I've never studied the ingredients or bought it.  I'll take a look next time I see it.

We have a local Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrissions and Pets at Home.  Would any of these sell in separately or in small packs???

I'm pretty sure I've seen it in sainsburys.  Do they sell it in foil trays?  I have a feeling that's what I've seen?   Unless I'm thinking of something else.
