Dougie is a bit of a character. :) He seems to be fine with other cats, but they're still checking how he is in a family situation and around dogs. He's not a young man, but has lots of personality.
He is being rehomed by Niall, who does a lot of work with dogs that have been given not long in rescues. If anyone can offer Dougie a home, please get in touch.

What a handsome old gent :Luv: wonder what happened to his ear
-
awww :Luv:
-
Not sure BL - I'm a bit smitten actually! He looks a star. :)
-
Now that's my kind of cat!
Dougie should go easy on that eye-liner though
-
Don't suppose you're anywhere near Kent are you Jasmine....? ;)
-
Sorry, no JS, I'm another one of the Coventry crew!
What DID happen to his ear though???
-
Aw bless such a cutie! :Luv:
-
Don't know in all honesty - can ask Niall. :)
:Luv: Dougie Meowser.
-
How old is he? Does he get on with other cats?
He really is a lovely cat.
-
Emily, have asked Niall for more info - would you be prepared to have a home check if necessary? ;)
-
If anyone can offer Dougie a home, that would be great. :) More information:
"Dougie is fine with other cats, does not seem overtly scared of dogs through pen. He is approx 12 but unsure; he may need some dental work but eats wet and dry food fine. He has a slight heart mumur apparently but seems unaffected by this. He had a large neoplasic lesion on his ear with scondary infection hence removal, actual inner ear still in tact. Bloods have all come back ok. :)"
I like this old guy a lot. :)
-
:Luv: Just look at that face!
Hubby has asked if "lots of personality" is cat re-homing code for "kills first and asks questions later" :evillaugh: He looks like a lovely friendly chap though.
We're 250 miles away from Kent...
-
Don't think you can wriggle out of it that easily! If you're prepared to offer Dougie a home there'd be a lot of people on a transport chain case. ;)
-
Argh! I'll send you a pm - I'm being booted off the pc...
-
K then. :)
-
Have snuck back on - pm sent - but must go to bed now as have an early start tomorrow doing election stuff!
-
PM responded to. ;) Have fun with the election stuff!
-
Sorry, only just seen message...working nights currently.
Home check would be ok.
However i should point out that i have 12 cats, and live in Surrey.
-
12 cats might be pushing it for him - he was a stray, so might get a bit territorial with that amount of "competition." :scared:
Have PM'd you Baggy. :)
-
What's the news on Dougie JS - is he being homed with Baggy?
-
JS's computer has died so thought I'd update on this one...didn't want to jinx things by saying earlier but we have indeed offered scrummy Dougie a home :Luv:
As we live a looong way from Kent both Niall and JS have started transport appeals to see if anyone can help out from Kent to Bournemouth, where we'll take over.
I know it seems mad but at the moment we've not been able to find any really needy cats in our local rescues, and there's just something about Dougie that made me keep going back to look at his picture...
-
Yep - Baggy is taking the lovely lad on. Am about to email Niall now. :)
-
Great news ;D
-
