do cats eyes change with age???? I'm sure the colouration of tilly's eyes is changing, she did have a cyst a couple of years back but its not the same as that - am I imagining it
-
Some do. Quite a lot get some brown marks. Yet others hardly anything. A lot depends on any medical condition. My Frodo and Hebe, siblings have
different health problems. Both fifteen and Hebe's eyes are perfect. She does have sore mouth problems at times. Frodo's eyes have over the years got a lot of brown marks. He has CKD. It might be worth getting it checked out. Give you peace of mind rather than worrying about it. Blood pressure, diabetes etc can all change the eyes. But also old age, which has no cure. And is perfectly natural. I find the best way of noticing any changes is looking at, and comparing photographs of taken a while back, and up to date.

yes think I will get her checked she is Bengal, wonder if they are more prone
-
I don't know Dawn. Maybe contact a Bengal breeder, or google it. I wouldn't have thought the eye colour change could be related to being a Bengal.
But I just don't know. Certain breeds as you know are more prone to certain diseases. But I think you are wise to get it checked out. How old is Tilly?
Have you a photo with her eyes close up?

she is 9, I will take her to the vet I think

Best idea. Good luck. Hope it's nothing.

I have never seen a change in colour but Kocka had detaching retinas and this made her pupil huge when they flapped and she webt blind for a while.
I would check with a vet
-
no its nothing like that, the pupils are normal, its in both eyes and just flecks in the iris, I will take her to be sure

How are things Dawn
