Didn't come to bed with me last night

No Susanne, it's not Teesha as in a cup of tea, it's Tisha as in tissue

Bought a new rug for my living room about 4 weeks ago but not put it down yet as I need to give my carpet a good vac and my vacuum cleaner died on me the other week. Just ordered a new one from Asda and it should be here by Friday.

So I'll have a clean room with a new rug and maybe that will encourage them to stay out of hiding

I agree with what you've all been saying about them and it's only a week today since they came here. I wish they could understand they are here forever

They've both been eating a lot of Dreamies today

They seem to come alive about 7.00 p.m.

I also thinkg that sleep is vastly overrated, and when I have one of my very frequent disturbed nights, when the world's worries are threatening to overwhelm me, I like nothing better than a snoozle wiv me Moray Mint or feeling the weight of Tinks stretched out proprietorially across my legs. It really puts things to rights.

Great news Mary. Not having a cat for about 8 years I have to put up with dog snores, thumbs in the back from paws wanting more space and the noisey moving around the bedroom to settle down. This usually happens about 2am in the morning, and he always lays across the doorway so I fall over him in the night if I need the bathroom. His a small terrier so my like an adoptive cat.

My last cat Chloe loved head bonks, and face swipes in the early hours, if she didn't meow her head off bringing in a live mouse which she then released in the early hours for Mummy to catch. The cat before her, Splodge, would sit on my face as her perch to watch life going past out the window.

Both bonkers Tuxedos.

Alfie has a very silly little meow, especially for such a big boy. Cleo, on the other hand, looks all sweet and fluffy but has language that would make a navvy blush!

I didn't get much sleep last night for much the same reasons - Mosi in bed last night and I felt obliged to provide stokes and cuddles for as long as he wanted and then this morning Kito came to bed but was clambering all over me, playing with my hair, climbing across my face etc. Still, sleep's over rated and cuddling cats is good for your health

O.M.G. Tisha came to bed with me last night

She slept next to my pillow, well, I say slept, she wanted stroking all the time. As a good slave I did as she wished and got no sleep myself.

I think Kitty looks a lot younger than Tisha but no idea if she really is. She makes me laugh cos she sits at my feet and she looks me right in the eyes and gives the quietest meow I've ever heard

She's been around a lot today and it's nice

Yer Kitty is a dark Tortie in fact the first time I saw her when she came down and it was night time and not enough light I thought she was all black and they had given me the wrong cat

Just gave Kitty her tablet in some pate rather than putting it in her food

they'll come round, once they realise you are so nice! willow was a bundle of teeth and claws when she came to us, you could pick her up without gloves on, now, unless she sees tilly she is lovely, even woke me up at 3am for a cuddle because oh is away and she normally wakes him!

About 1.00 a.m. this morning both of them appeared from behind the sofa bed. Tisha ate and then jumped on the sofa and got in one of the beds. Kitty played for about 1 hour and then I went tobed.

Got up about half a hour ago and Tisha still in the cat bed and Kitty came from behind the sofa bed.

This sounds like it might be progress.

I've got some pics, post later when they are on my computer.

Mary it's going to take time. The medication problem is a worry. But it's early days yet. What's that saying. "Keep calm and carry on." You'll get there Mary. It's just different from having dear old Bonnie around. One day at a time. Keep us posted. We all feel the old ladies are part of our own family and look forward to the time when they are settled and feel comfortable in their forever home with you guarding over them.

I reckon these two ladies have seen a lot of change in the most recent years of their lives, and they have no idea what's going on really. It will take time for them to adjust, and the good thing is, you know all that stuff, and will give Kitty the time and space she needs.

I was going to suggest a session with the flying frenzy or Da Bird too - maybe not the leaping and jumping games of a younger cat, but the tantalising wiggle and twitch a more genteel and mature lady may prefer?

They are keeping you occupied.

It takes a good wee while to figure out two cats personalities and what they expect of you . My last two came as kittens so they knew who was boss in the house from day one. Usually our yorkie terrier in those days.
