I think I need to get a video clip of her meowing - she is so cute and her meow is so quiet BUT gets louder when her dish is empty

Mary I can see the change in her. She looks more relaxed and confident. A lovely photo that shows a happier cat. Must have been an ordeal for her at her age facing all the changes.

Gill, she doesn't have arthritis she has jumped up on the settee arm and the sofa bed and Bonnie's pink chair with no probs.

Julie she has lovely markings and her chest is like a lion's mane.

You can see her lion's mane a bit inthis pic of her on the sofa bed.

Chivers and Punky, who were littermates never really got on. Chivvy was mean to Punky and, to be brutally honest, I let him get away with things cos he was a tripod

I am so glad Kitty is venturing out more, do you know, maybe they didn't get on so well after all.

I have seen quite a few pairs of cats, even sisters and mothers and daughters come into rescue, and they aren't keen on each other at all

Thats how I know if Misa is in pain from his arthritus cos he cant get up stairs.

Thank you to my long term friends and new ones. Everyone has said special words from your hearts and made me tearful but so happy that you are all there for me.

Carol, abandoned is what I felt when my mum died and neverthought of that word at the time. However, I know my Purrs family will nevr abandon me

Oh Mary I'm so sorry to hear about Tisha.

You must be feeling heartbroken, angry, desolate, abandoned, any number of exhausting emotions. It's precious little comfort at the moment but hang on to the thought that gave Tisha the most wonderful gift possible, that of love. It was only for a short time but she will have known it and felt secure in your care. As for Kitty, she may blossom as an only cat; I hope she does. Some do after a lifetime of playing second fiddle to a more demonstrative sibling and there is nothing more rewarding than the first signs of trust and affection from a timid cat.

The vet saw her last Thursday when I thought it was all going wrong and asked me to bring her in for a biopsy. Eddie is 100% a fantastic vet.

I went to bed this morning after posting about Tisha. I got up about 5.00 p.m. and Kitty came out for something to eat and then went back to her fave spot.

I had a Tesco delivery at 7.30 p.m. and made myself a chicken sarnie. Kitty came out and sat at my feet meowing so Igave her a lot of chicken and then she laid on the floor for about 1 and 3/4 hours. Not sutre if it's cos it's hot or cos she knows I'm upset or what? A bit of everything probably.

Vet just phoned and he hasn't taken a biopsy cos he can see it's grown so much since he last saw her and it's eaten away at half of her tongue. So he is letting her go.

I cannot believe she has been taken from you so soon Mary.

In these last weeks she knew love and caring. If she has been elsewhere they wouldn't have noticed her problem and she would have suffered but you were there Mary and you did what was right and spared her pain in her final weeks. She was sent to you for love.
Play well at the bridge sweet Tisha. Your mum sent you there with love and you took some of her heart with you xx

Oh Mary that is just the worst news possible and Tisha was such a gorgeous loving cat. You gave her what she needed love and affection and she repaid with loving you back

So much better with you than in a rescue and the final act of kindness has saved her suffering, so very sorry for your loss

RIP Tisha you have left a purr in your meowmys heart.
